20* Red Sox/Yankees ESPN Sunday Night BAILOUT on Boston +104
The Boston Red Sox are showing solid value as a road underdog to the New York Yankees tonight. With their best starter on the mound, I'll gladly back the Red Sox and Clay Buchholz to win Game 3 and the series in this huge rivalry.
Buchholz has been nothing short of spectacular this season, going 7-0 with a 1.73 ERA and 1.046 WHIP through 10 starts. The Red Sox are 9-1 in those 10 contest. Buchholz has been at his best on the road, going 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in four starts away from home, allowing 4 earned runs over 28 innings.
Buchholz squared off against Kuroda earlier this season on April 3rd. Buchholz allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings, while Hiroki Kuroda allowed 2 earned runs and 5 base runners in 1 1/3 innings before being hit by a line drive. The Red Sox won that contest 7-4 at New York.
The Red Sox are 42-13 in Buchholz's last 55 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance. The Yankees are 1-6 in their last 7 games overall. The Red Sox are 7-0 in Buchholz's last 7 starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5. Bet Boston Sunday.
Players 8* MLB Sunday OVER in BALTIMORE June 2
Scott “The Bulldog” Rickenbach MLB*8* OVER in Baltimore @ 1:35 ET Based solely on the pitching versus hitting matchups on both sides this game is likely going to be a major shootout and it would be foolish to not get in on it. The Orioles will be starting rookie Kevin Gausman on the mound to face the powerful Tigers lineup that pounded them for 10 runs in yesterday’s game. Gausman has given up 11 earned runs in just nine innings of work this year while yielding 15 hits. In his last start versus the Nationals, the young right-hander gave up three home runs and seven earned runs in just four innings of work. It would not be surprising if the powerful Tigers chased him early in this game. The Tigers meanwhile will have their 5th starter on the hill in Rick Porcello. While I realize that Porcello is coming of his best performance of the week; you have to put it in perspective as he 5.29 ERA this season and has been up and down his whole career. The play is on the OVER.
Players 10* MLB 10* Sunday OVER in OAKLAND June 2
Scott “The Bullodog” Rickenbach MLB*10* OVER in Oakland @ 4:05 ET We have a low totals line here as these two teams will be sending some of their best pitchers to mound on a Sunday night game. Still, with yesterday’s low scoring extra inning game, we should expect more runs to score this game no matter the pitchers.Jarrod Parker has admittedly been a lot better of late after a horrendous start to the season. Parker has pitched three quality starts but has only been able to lower his ERA to 5.40 on the season. Chris Sale while be pitching for the White Sox and he is of course a standout pitcher. It should be noted though that Sale is just 2-2 on the road this season and has a 3.51 ERA average away from the windy city. Note that the OVER hit in the last two appearances Sale has made versus the A’s in his career. The play here is on the OVER, a 10* Regular Play Selection.
Stan’s SUNDAY MLB SET
3Star 906 PITTSBURGH +115 135pm Pirates haven’t been swept at home since the beginning of September 2012. They are 14-7 off of a beat. They are undefeated behind Gomez, winning all 6 of his starts.
4Star 905/906 UNDER 7.5 Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh 135pm Gomez has a 2.15 ERA this season while Reds’ starter Latos has a 2.40 lifetime earned run average in this series. 14 of the past 20 matchups between the clubs have gone under with 2 pushes. Bucs are 9-21 to the under at home.
5 Star 917/918 OVER 10 Detroit @ Baltimore 135pm Detroit is a perfect 7-0-1 to the over when facing AL East teams, with 7 of those 8 games totaling double digits or higher. Tigers are 16-8 to the over in day games while Baltimore has a 15-5 record to the over in afternoon affairs. O’s are 9-1 to the over in their last 10 games, with 8 of those games totaling 11 runs or higher.
2 UNIT = Cincinnati Reds @ Pittsburgh Pirates - UNDER 7.5 RUNS (-109)
Listed Pitchers: Latos vs Gomez
(Note: I'm risking 2.00 units to win 1.83 units)
2 UNIT = Detroit Tigers @ Baltimore Orioles - TIGERS TO WIN (-115)
Listed Pitchers: Porcello vs Gausman
(Note: I'm risking 2.00 units to win 1.74 units)
DETROIT TIGERS OVER 5 RUNS
A very, very nice weather pattern for us here at "very lively" Camden Yards. We saw how the baseball flew out of the yard yesterday, and we have the same weather for today's ballgame. O's send out a young hurler who has been tagged in his 2 starts and surely will be babied pitch count wise, here. The Jays and Nats smacked him around and these Tigers simply rake RH pitching and they also get Torri Hunter back in the lineup for this ballgame. Detroit on fire at the plate and i fully expect them to get to the young Baltimore SP Gausman eventually and then it's the O's bullpen for the rest of the game.
