Analysis:The White Sox may be a dead team, but they sure don't want to be swept at home by Cleveland and they want very much to play better for Chris Sale.
Sale is by far Chicago's best pitcher. He has thrown 34 1/3 innings this month recording a 3.12 ERA with 43 strikeouts. Yet the White Sox have not fielded well or hit for him so Sale is 0-4 in June.
The track record certainly is there for the White Sox to get the job done in this situation. They are 14-3 (82%) in Sale's last 17 home starts. The Indians did blast Sale when they last faced him back in April. Prior to that, however, Sale was 2-0 with a 2.29 ERA in three starts versus Cleveland.
While Sale is the White Sox's ace, Justin Masterson has become the Indians' most ineffective starter going 2-4 with a 5.20 ERA during his past seven starts. He is 0-5 in his last five roadoutings with a 5.54 ERA.

Analysis:
Yu Darvish is a great strikeout pitcher who hasn't won since May 16, a span of seven straight starts. Texas is 1-6 in those games.
Matt Latos is a great strikeout pitcher who has lost only once in his last 23 regular-season starts.
The Rangers have one more win and one fewer loss than the Reds. Latos is 7-1 with a 3.05 ERA. Darvish is 7-3 with a 2.95 ERA.
The Rangers having home field isn't nearly enough to make them such an overwhelming favorite in what should be a very even game, especially considering the Reds are 13-5 the past 18 times they've faced a righty on the road.
Latos matched his career-high in strikeouts with 13 last Sunday in a 4-2 victory at Arizona. It was the ninth time in the last 12 games the Reds have won when Latos was pitching away from Cincinnati. Latos threw 79 of his 110 pitches for strikes against the Diamondbacks.Comment
