Some teams come into training camp with a lot of question marks. The Dolphins have many of them. This shuffled offensive line is not at a quality NFL level. This game actually could get ugly for both offenses. I just don't see much point production from Miami. I don't feel right taking the Under because this could be a game with a couple defensive scores and its just tough to make cash banking on totals in football anymore with all of the penalties being called. I think Dallas is better as of today so we will ride with them as the small dog.

In a similar way, we look forward to fading the Cubs and Villanueva. After a 19-13 run, the Cubs lost all their momentum by being sellers at the trade deadline. Far prefer Detroit whose positive streaks have now reached 20-7, 11-1 and 7-0. 10/11 of their recent home wins have been by 2 or more runs. Pitching on the road has not been profitable for Saunders this year with a 5.26 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. In your Dog of the Day, we look for a resurgent Miami team to get the better of a poor traveling Tribe. Cleveland was on a 9 game winning streak when they came to Miami due to an extended run on a home field where they are 37-19. In splitting a pair of games in South Beach the last two nights, they have dropped to 24-30 on the road. Thus it is no surprise that Cleveland is just 3-7 in Kazmir road starts. The rubberband snapped for Kazmir in his last outing. Following a 3-0 record and 1.60 ERA in 7 starts, Kazmir allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 5 IP vs. the lowly White Sox. Miami has gone 27-22 in a time frame correlating with the return of their best bats Stanton and Morrison. In that time frame since mid-June, Miami has a 2.87 ERA. The Marlin starters have allowed 3 or less earned runs in 13/14 recent starts. Since entering the rotation, Eovaldi has 7/8 quality starts. Wheeler has pitched decent ball at times though he has been inconsistent. Far prefer the better hitting red hot Royals and the veteran experience of Santana. KC enters on a 12-3 run. For the year, Santana has a 3.03 ERA, 115/31 KBB and 1.06 WHIP. In great current form, Santana has pitched to a 1.21 ERA in going 2-0 in his last 3 starts.

Doubront has allowed 3 or less earned runs in 14 consecutive starts. Yet he will remain very hungry as, after a 3-0 streak, he fell victim in his last 2 outings to the red hot Rays and David Price. Kyle Lohse has been dominating of late. His ERA is less than 1 in his last three outings. Lohse has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the National League this year.
