Colorado Rockies vs Miami Marlins
Take: Total 7½ un-120
in 4h
*3 Star MLB 100% Total Angle* Jorge De La Rosa has been one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball this year. De La Rosa has consistently put up quality starts for the Rockies. Miami is averaging just 2.96 runs per game against left handed starters this year. Jacob Turner starts for the Marlins. Turner has been very good this season, and the Rockies lineup isn't nearly as intimidating without Carlos Gonzalez. The under is 8-0 in the Rockies last 8 road games versus a team with a losing record at home. The under is 4-0-2 in the Rockies last 6 overall. The under is 5-0 in the Rockies last 5 as a road favorite. The under is 4-0 in De La Rosa's last 4 against a team with a losing record. The under is 6-0 in De La Rosa's last 6 starts as a road favorite. The under is 3-0-1 in the Marlins last 4 games. The under is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings between these two. In all a 37-0 angle backs this play. Take the under.

New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays
Take: Tampa Bay Rays -139
in 5h
*4 Star MLB Play of Day* Alex Cobb missed a lot of time because of his freak injury earlier this year, but while he has been healthy, Cobb has been great in 2013. He has an ERA of less than 3 on the season, and his career ERA is just 2.2 against the New York Yankees. Tampa Bay is one of the best teams in baseball when playing on their home turf. Ivan Nova has looked a bit shaky in his last 2 starts. Nova is the type of guy who can string together some bad starts because of his inconsistency. The Yankees are 0-4 in Nova's last 4 road starts against a team with a winning record. They are also 0-4 in Nova's last 4 starts as a road underdog. The Rays are 11-2 in Cobb's last 13 starts as a favorite. Take Tampa Bay.
The big chill hit Hondo last night, first in LA with the Dodgers then in San Fran with the Pirates, causing the runaway deficit to soar to 1,255 bunnings.
Today, it’s supposed to be so nice out that Mr. Aitch will go for a double dip with the D’backs and Rangers — 20 units apiece on Corbin and Garza.
Scott Spreitzer MLB Money Line Sun, 08/25/13 - 4:10 PM
double-dime bet - 923 ANA (-130) vs 924 SEA
Analysis: I'm backing the LA Angels on Sunday with Jered Weaver and Aaron Harang the particulars. Jered Weaver is off back-to-back tough outings, but it should be noted that the first start came in the Bronx and as a flyball pitcher, Weaver has never fared well in new or old Yankee Stadium. His last outing wasn't as bad as it seems. After all, Weaver had just one "blowup" inning as he called it, allowing all four runs and five of the eight hits in the fourth innings against the Indians, while pitching five scoreless innings the rest of the game. Weaver owns a 2.33 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and a .165 BAA in daytime starts this season. Seattle's Aaron Harang has been pounded by the Angels in three starts this season, allowing 13 earned runs, 28 base runners, and 5 home runs in 11 2/3. Josh Hamilton & Mike Trout are a combined 11 for 19 against the right-hander with a pair of home runs and half-a-dozen RBIs. It's a pitching mismatch with a line that doesn't represent the advantage in full. The Angels are on a 43-12 run when Weaver is priced as a favorite, while the Mariners have won just one of Harang's last five starts. I'm laying the price with the Angels on Sunday. Thanks! GL! Game: Seattle at San Antonio (4:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: San Antonio +1.5 (-108) at 5Dimes
Seattle has a losing record on the road, but opened as the favorite in San Antonio. It's the middle of a three-game road trip for Seattle, playing two games here in San Antonio, today and Tuesday. In the last 50 games between these Western rivals, the home team has won 32 games compared to 18 wins for the road team. Seattle is not a strong offensive team, 70.8 ppg ranks 11th in the WNBA, and they are 12th in rebounding, which hurts on the road. The San Antonio Silver Stars are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a loss, and they are home after playing four of five away. San Antonio is a good three point shooting team (fifth in the WNBA), and the Silver Stars are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. When San Antonio has been the home team in this series, they are 14-9 against Seattle straight up. Plus, the Silver Stars are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 Sunday games, making this a great spot for the home team. Play the San Antonio Silver Stars.
