TAMPA RAYS/BOSTON RED SOX - OVER 7.5
(Cobb/Dempster)
These teams have played to some very low scoring games the past few times they have gotten together, but a lot of those times Price was on the mound for Tampa. Boston is crushing the ball right now while Boston pitcher Ryan Dempster has been struggling. This is a perfect time for Tampa to find their bats and home. I just can't see Boston being shutdown they way they have been hitting the ball. This total has great value. Take the Over.
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Baltimore Orioles over the New York Yankees.
The Orioles are starting to look pretty smart for trading for Scott Feldman relatively early in the season - about a month before the trade deadline and before other teams could make competing offers for the veteran righthander. After a bit of a so-so start with the Orioles, Feldman seems to be finding his stride now, and he comes into this, his second start vs. the Yankees since coming to Baltimore, off of his first complete game shutout of the season in his last start against the White Sox right here at Camden Yards. Feldman was out-dueled by Ivan Nova in that start against the Yankees on August 31, but he still pitched a near-flawless game in that one as well and the Birds' hitters will look to give Feldman some run support tonight off of lefthanded veteran Andy Pettitte. Normally, the Yankees win the majority of Pettitte's starts, but this season they are just 13-13 in his 26 trips to the mound and they are just 4-6 in Pettitte's last 10 starts. Feldman's ERA over his last 3 starts is a near-spotless 0.86, with a 0.95 WHIP. Take Baltimore.
