(967) NEW YORK YANKEES VS (968) TORONTO BLUE JAYS
Take: (968) Home Field Crusher: Toronto Blue Jays.
A tough week for the Yankees, after getting their bullpen shredded by the rival Red Sox and Baltimore now they head to the Rogers Centre to face a talented offense. Can't trust 41-year old Andy Pettitte (4.04 ERA) and this NY offense is very weak, 20th in on base percentage. The Yankees are 2-5 in Pettitte's last 7 starts with 5 days of rest. The Yankees are also 3-8 in their last 11 road games vs. a right-handed starter and face R.A. Dickey. The team is 3-1 his last four starts and the Blue Jays are 4-1 in Dickey's last 5 starts with 5 days of rest. This Toronto offense has plenty of punch, 8th in baseball in runs scored, 8th in slugging. Play the Blue Jays.
09/17 8:10 PM EST MLB (975) CLEVELAND INDIANS VS (976) KANSAS CITY ROYALS
Take: (975) Pennant Race Mauler of the Week: Cleveland Indians.
Cleveland is playing well for first year skipper Terry Francona, winning 11 of 14 and staying alive in the postseason hunt. The Indians have plenty of offensive punch, 7th in baseball in runs scored, 8th in on-base percentage and 10th in slugging. The Indians are 19-7 in their last 26 games vs. a left-handed starter and they face KC lefty Danny Duffy, who has walked 9 batters in his last 14+ innings, a terrible ratio. He also has a 5.23 ERA against division rival Cleveland. Meanwhile the Indians have one of their top starters going in Corey Kluber (9-5, 3.55 ERA), who has a 2-0 record and a 2.08 ERA his last three starts walking a total of 3 batters. Kluber gave up two earned runs on six hits and one walk his last start in his team's 14-3 win over the White Sox. It was Kluber's second straight win after returning to the rotation earlier this month, and he hasn't lost since June, going 3-0 over his last nine starts. And the Royals are 2-8 in Duffy's last 10 home starts vs. a team with a winning record. Play the Indians.
09/17 9:40 PM EST MLB (963) LOS ANGELES DODGERS VS (964) ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Take: (963) LA DODGERS
Reason: The Dodgers are on a roll, and while they face a right-handed ace in Patrick Corbin, the Dodgers are 24-6 in their last 30 road games vs. a right-handed starter. The Dodgers are 56-20 in their last 76 overall, 24-7 in their last 31 road games. LA has ace Zack Greinke (14-3, 2.74 ERA) and he hasn't lost since July 25 against the Reds. He is 6-2 with a 3.49 ERA in 11 starts away from Dodger Stadium. In fact, the Dodgers are 17-4 in Greinke's last 21 starts! The Dodgers are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings, including 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona. Play the Dodgers.
Game: Baltimore at Boston (7:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Baltimore +120 (moneyline) at Sportsbook.com
The Boston Red Sox had some unfinished business over the weekend. They came out of it grinning like the Cheshire Cat, as they swept their arch-rival the New York Yankees. They truly have nothing left to accomplish the rest of the way. After the big weekend series and the satisfaction of the sweep plus having a day off to gloat, I just don't see this team bringing a lot of focus tonight. Baltimore has other ideas as they need to keep winning to play themselves into a playoffs opportunity. Scott Feldman has been better than Ryan Dempster all season, especially of late where he is 3-1 with a 1.77 ERA in his last six starts. The O's have been strong here of late by taking 12 of the last 17 at Fenway, and have won four straight series openers overall. Play on Baltimore.
EAGLE EYE---RANDY ROSE Your Pick: Chicago White Sox (-144)

EAGLE EYE---ALEX KING
Your Pick: Baltimore Orioles +1.5 (-180)
Your Pick: Houston Astros +1.5 (-105)
Baltimore (Feldman) at Boston (Dempster) (-120) 7:10 ET
5* Boston (-120)
The Red Sox run continues. They are now 17-4 of late averaging 8.3 RPG in their last 11 games. They have had 48 hours to come down from the high that was the NYY weekend sweep. Because of that great hitting, Boston is 9-1 in Dempsters L10 starts, despite the fact that Dempster has a 5.98 ERA in that timeframe. Dempster, however, has a strong history v. Baltimore with a 2.01 ERA lifetime. The hopes of the division title are all but gone for Baltimore. They have scored 5 or less runs in each of their last 13 games with a .200 BA with RISP. Feldman has pitched well in his L6 starts with a mark of 3-1 and 1.77 ERA. But in his lone start against Boston this year, a 7-3 loss, Feldman allowed 4 runs in 5 IP. In Feldmans, lone start at Fenway, he allowed 12 runs in 2 2/3 IP.
