OC Dooley:“2 UNIT” WEATHER INTANGIBLE TOTAL (Dodgers at Giants OVER 6’ in a 10:15 eastern start-------Ryu versus Cain): You will see at the bottom of this analysis segment that WEATHER (wind speed) has helped trigger this particular wager which is also a very high percentage move. It is easy to why this late night total is in the six-range as Los Angeles is coming off a weekend series on the road versus a Divisional opponent (San Diego) where the “combined” runs scored in the three games (7) was shockingly low. Meanwhile San Francisco’s struggling offense has tallied “two or less” runs in 4 consecutive game which all stayed below the posted spot. What is a bit surprising is that during the weekend the Giants were playing at Yankee Stadium which traditionally has favored offensive production especially with the short porch in rightfield. On the mound for the Giants this evening is Matt Cain whose ERA since the All Star Break (2.34) has been solid, but my research indicates that long term when coming off consecutive excellent outings where he held the opposition to “two or less” runs each time the former ace of the staff has gone 15-6 OVER the total. For those who have access to this late night contest keep an eye out for Adrian Gonzalez whose career batting average against Cain (.330) is high. In addition Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier who has missed more than a solid week of action due to a sore back is slated to finally return to the starting lineup. The Dodgers offense needs to come alive in support of rookie hurler Hyun-Jin Ryu who has struggled down the stretch (1-4 last five decisions) as he has been dealing with back problems as well. When cast as a road underdog this season Ryu and the Dodgers are UNDEFEATED for the totals player going 8-0 OVER the spot. While skies will be clear in San Francisco this evening the winds will be blowout OUT towards centerfield from 15-to-25 miles per hourComment
