Game: Buffalo at Detroit (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: Buffalo +170 (moneyline) at Bovada
The Detroit Red Wings will reduce their travel miles this season, as they switch to the Eastern Conference. Detroit needed wins in each of its final four games a year ago to keep a long playoffs streak in tact. This season, the talent level that once took the ice isn't quite the same as it used to be. A year ago the offense managed just 2.5 goals per game, and their margin for error was reduced dramatically. They did add Daniel Alfredsson but I think his best years are behind him. He has scored 40 goals in a season twice, but he's got 17 seasons of wear and tear on him and managed just 10 goals last season. The difference between these two teams is not that great, especially in game one, giving us line value on Buffalo. Take the Sabres.

Steve Fezzik | MLB Total pick904 CLE / 903 TAM Under 7 BodogAnalysis:
Playoff Baseball, time to look "UNDER". Pit/Reds snuck 'over' last night, but these teams are set to play a low scoring tension filled game, with pitchers pulled ASAP at any sign of trouble.
CLEVELAND ML +105 ***PLAY OF THE DAY***
CLEVELAND RRL -1.5 +220 So let me get this straight---Cobb is 11-3, already shut out the Tribe this year, has looked awesome down the stretch going 3-0 including a shut out of the Yankees in his season finale while the Tribe are starting a rookie, swept 3 crap teams to get here BUT actually opened up as small fave?? GET REAL!!! Folks, it's true and most of you don't know this but the Tribe actually opened at -112 and immediately the public pounded the Rays and continue to now making the Tribe +105 which is awesome for us!!! Listen, I can give you countless trends tonight that support the Tribe and even going against Tampa but there is one key trend that is glaring at me that again many of you probably don't know---and it involves Cleveland and when they play certain teams that have a batting average of less than .265 and the Tribe have won more than 95% of their games against these qualifying teams---and by more an average of more than 2 runs per game!!! Oh, and here's something else I love----every time Cobb has a shutout performance he BLOWS UP his next time out!!! Why should tonight be any different especially given the added pressure of the playoffs!?
2-Unit Play. Take #56 Colorado (-120) over Anaheim (9:35 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2)
What a interesting number here with Colorado listed at about a -120 home favorite against a Anaheim team that ran through the Western Conference last year before being bounce in the first round. Anaheim is a different team this year trading away one of they're key offensive players with Bobby Ryan and his ten plus million contract going to Ottawa. The Ducks are also getting old in some key spots and believe or not get a tough task playing in the thin air of Colorado for their first game. The Patrick Roy era begins tonight as the former star goalie takes the head coaching duties of his former team. Colorado is young but very talented and Roy intense ways should take this team up a notch. I think there will be a ton of emotion in this one, in my opinion wait to play as there should be some Anaheim money that will come in here.
