FERRINGO HOCKEY:
7-Unit Play Take #61 Philadelphia (-110) over Carolina (7:35 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5th)
Please Note this is our "Game Of The Year"
These two teams are similar in some way's and different in other way's, for one they both are low scoring hockey club's. The Flyers and the Hurricanes are two of six teams in the NHL that are averaging under two goals a game. Carolina has lost five straight games scoring just five goals while allowing eighteen goals over that span. One of the main reason for the Hurricanes problems is their goaltending who they have a third string goalie in net with Justin Peters who has posted a 3.49 goals against. The Flyers will have Steve Mason back in net after being pulled against the Capitols at home last Friday but has been very good this year with a 2.72 goals against and has been successful vs Carolina with a 5-1 record with a 1.84 goals against and a .941 save percentage. Philadelphia is also healthy and I think that 7-0 loss at home vs Washington might be a good thing for this hockey club who did turn around and play a solid hockey game the next night beating the Devils. Look for Philadelphia to bounce back and beat the Canes tonight.
2-Unit Play Take #51 Dallas (+170) over Boston (7 p.m.., Tuesday, Nov. 5th)
This number is high, I like this Dallas team and I understand at times they haven't been consistent but this teams has been in a couple of games this year that they played well but still lost the game, including two games against a talented Colorado team. I understand that the Bruins are a good hockey team if not a top three team in the league but I do think that the Star's will hang in there against the Bruins. I think Boston should be a (-170) home favorite and the fact that we're taking this price back is hard to pass up.
