A little background on this selection: I am a proud graduate of the University of Dayton and rarely
wager on my team (as this clouds my judgement) That said, there are usually a couple of times
each year I will fire on them when I think we have a good spot....and tonight is one of those
spots. Now everyone knows that UD Arena is a really difficult place to win for visitors and Iona will
find that out tonight. The Flyers usually get lots of "home cooking" and with that said, this year's
version of the Flyers is Archie Miller's most talented team to date, already boasting impressive
wins over Gonzaga and California. On the court, both teams really dhoot the 3-pointer well at
over 38% for the year and both also shoot the ball well from the field. We think the Flyers are
going to have an advantage on the glass and if you look at Iona's schedule, they really haven't
been within 13 points of either quality team they have played this season, both losses. Iona has
traditionally been a very solid program, so Miller will have UD ready to play tonight and won't take
the Gaels lightly. We expect a really solid performance from the Flyers and a double digit victory.

3-Unit Play. #526. Take Arkansas -23.5 over Tennessee Martin (Thursday @ 8pm est).

Given that we do just 1 POD per day, we try to make it the easiest win possible - if there is such a thing. It is based on point differential. After our usual conference look-ups, Clemson is definitely a lean with but with Auburn coming off a pair of ugly losses, the motivation will be high for the Tigers despite being well overmatched by the Tigers from up north. I like Arkansas here given that they love to blow people out as Mike Anderson's team loves high point differentials against weaker teams and Tennessee Martin is more than willing it seems. Arkansas is a top 50 team and they have beaten the likes of Minnesota by 14, SMU by 11 and a solid Clemson team by 6. Against teams outside the top 300 they have won by 35 against SIU Edwardsville, 46 against SE Louisiana and 29 against Savannah State. Needless to say, this team enjoys playing many players and an up and down pace for blowout potential. Such is the case here as this team faces Tennessee Martin who is outside the top 300 and it should make for an opportunity for Arkansas to possibly win by 30.5 which is where we have it. The Skyhawks of Tennessee Martin when they face top 50 teams this year they have also lost by margins of 26 to Colorado, 28 to FSU and 30 to UNLV on the road. Tennessee Martin has had a tough schedule and they will benefit from this when they play conference games but are outside the top 330 in defense and as they face a potent Arkansas offense, it sets up for a large point differential. TN Martin is 7-18-1ATS coming off a straight up win and the Razorbacks are 9-3 ATS in their lats 12 home games as they seem to know what the spread is most of the time.

3-Unit Play. #503. Take Under 202 San Antonio vs. Golden State (Thursday @ 10:35pm est).

This game should have a strong defensive tinge to it. Note that the last time these two teams played, the game did not even top 160. These two teams are not the most fond of each other either to boot which makes for always an interesting contest. I actually think the way the line is placed and the public is rolling with San Antonio, that Golden State likely wins this game. Note, the last 5 of 6 between these squads have gone under too as a person that enjoys fading the public, on a Thursday Night contest with the public heavily on the Over as the last contest on the board in the NBA, this is as good as public fade as any. This will have a playoff type atmosphere to this game with two of the heavy weights in the Western Conference facing each other. Plus, Coach Jackson is a defensive minded coach and this team has revenge from their bucket loss last time. Also, this is a nationally televised game as there are just 2 nba games on the docket so the eyes of the league will be on this team which typically means more of a defensive performance. The Under is 5-1 when the Spurs face a team with a winning record and the Under is 5-1 for the Warriors as well when they face a team with a winning record.

3-Unit Play. #56. Take Under 5 Goals Boston vs. Buffalo (Thursday @ 7:05pm est).

This makes a lot of sense here for us to take the Under. Bear in mind the public is heavily on Boston and rightfully so. Boston beat this team 5-2 earlier this year on the road and you would have to think they get Buffalo's best effort today. Buffalo is a decent defensive team and to give up 5 goals in their last contest, I would suspect they step up in a positive way today. Boston gave up 6 goals recently to Vancouver and bounced back by shutting out Calgary which we expected. Every time they give up 6 goals its like they remember for the next few games and hold their opponents to 2 or less goals. They gave up 6 goals to Detroit a while back and for 7 straight games they held opponents to 2 goals or less. With Buffalo scoring a rare 4 goals against Winnipeg, look for them to return back to earth a bit today and don't be surprised if this is a grind out 2-1 type of contest or 3-1 with a late empty netter which is where we have it. The Under is 3-1-1 for the Bruins when they face a team with a losing record and the Under is 7-1 in the last 8 games for the Sabres following a win.
