NBA
Chicago Bulls at OKC Thunder (-13) 8:00 ET TNT
5* Chicago Bulls (+13)
OKC on an early season uptick with streaks of 15-1 and 7-0 SU, along with 10-6 ATS. We have
often ridden them to profit on this court, where they are 35-19 ATS. HC Brooks is a major moneymaker for us over the years, EXCEPT, when his team becomes overpriced in the face of a
winning streak. Witness his record of 14-28 ATS following 5 or more consecutive victories. The
Bulls have tanked without Rose going 4-10 SU in his absence. Chicago has averaged just 82 PPG
L6 games. The 7-17 ATS mark for the season means they have failed to cover by a net 110
points. These streaks have not been lost on the linemaker. As a result, this line is 10 points higher
than it would have been opening night. Time to step in with a big dog value play with a contrary
selection on the Chicago Bulls.
Last year USC crushed Long Beach. This year Long Beach is a shell of what they were a year ago. We have made a lot of cash betting against Long Beach this year. UCS is playing better defense this year and get to the line as good as any team in the nation. I can’t wrap my head around why this line is so low. This is the ultimate of ultimate sucker bets if Long Beach does win, but there is nothing that points to this 1-9 team being competitive tonight. Take USC.
UCLA Duke Duke -4.5, 164.5
12/19/2013 7:30 PM
SELECTION:
UCLA +4.5
We took UCLA against Missouri a few weeks back and it was the only loss UCLA had all year. They just didn’t show up in the second half letting a huge lead disappear. Duke is not as physical as UCLA and this is a game in which the Bruins should dominate the boards. Neither team plays great defense, but Duke is really not defending the ball at all. I believe the Bruins will have more second chance points and will get to the line more. Take UCLA
