Butler at Creighton (-10-) 9:00 ET FS1
10* Butler (+10-)
The Blue Jays survived 12 triples from Xavier on Sunday to emerge with a win, no cover (95-89)
that ran the Blue Jays’ winning streak to 9 consecutive games and 8-1 ATS mark. Creighton
survived without the steadying leadership of Gibbs (knee) again slated to miss this contest. But,
this is more about the Butler Bulldogs and whether 1st year HC Miller can continue the Butler Way
in the absence of departed HC Stevens. In starting 0-4 SU in their new Big East home (a far more
difficult challenge than the former Horizon digs), the Bulldogs have dropped 3 OT games on their
home court to Nova, DePaul and Georgetown. Now, the mettle is truly tested. I believe they
respond. Already this year, Butler has covered in the underdog role on 3 out of 4 occasions losing
to only 2 to Ok. St., 2 to LSU and 3 to Villanova. In only a 79-68 loss at Xavier, have they been
out of touch at the end. We give the Bulldogs one more chance to prove the Butler Way still lives
