The SMU Mustangs host the Louisville Cardinals Wednesday. “The Bulldog” breaks down his selection on Louisville with his Three-Factor Analysis: 1. The Cardinals are still chasing the top spot in the AAC, and can’t afford another slip up after losing to Memphis this weekend. Louisville had won seven straight before that defeat and is rounding into championship form. 2. This will be one of the biggest games in SMU’s basketball history, so there is a ton of pressure to perform Wednesday night. While the Broncos are feeling the heat, the Cardinals are weathered when it comes to hostile road environments from years of dominating the Big East. Southern Methodist can’t afford to play tight, with UL’s offense firing on all cylinders. 3. Louisville underestimated SMU last time out and nearly let a win slip away. The Cardinals won 71-63 but sat back and watched the Mustangs put up 38 points in the second half of that game. Louisville played an uncharacteristically sloppy game, with 15 turnovers. That won’t happen Wednesday.
