Wyoming’s season changed on Feb 18th when Larry Nance Jr. hurt his knee against Fresno St. After Nance went down Wyoming lost the next 4 games. Clearly they are not the same team without him so the knee jerk reaction here is to jump on UNLV and lay the points but I just don’t trust this team enough to do that but I think there is a better way to go here
The first meeting was a 48-46 score as Wyoming was able to slow the tempo and look to pound it inside to their big Man. Without Nance I really think UNLV will be able to play this game at their desired tempo and that will be a faster pace. Because of the first game being so low scoring we are getting a very soft total and I believe without Nance UNLV will get more second chance oÄpportunities as well as some fast break points in transition off of Wyoming misses. With Nance Wyoming was patient working the ball inside they won’t have that luxury this time. Over appears to be the best bet here. My numbers have 134 or more points being scored.
