Hughes got roughed up in a big way his first start, and has always had a tendency of getting hit well. Additionally the Twins offense is also clicking averaging 5.86 runs for per game. Chavez owns a low ERA, but his WHIP indicates he was more lucky then good during his first outing.

We can’t understand why Trevor Bauer continues to get a shot at the major league level. Bauer has started 8 major league games over the past two seasons, earning a 5.67 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in those outings and has walked nearly 8 batters per 9 innings. His spring was awful and there is no way the Tribe should be favored let alone by this much.

Big mismatch on the mound where we have Garza going for the Brew Crew vs Roberto Hernandez for the Phillies. Hernandez in our opinions is a gas can and can explode any given day. Garza is rock solid and you know what you’re going to get out of him when he takes the mound. First start against the Braves he went 8 IP, allowing just 2 hits and 1 earned run. Brewers mashing the ball right now – scoring 10, 4, 7, and 6 runs in their last 4 games.

The Mariners are 5-2 on the season and own a 4-0 record against the Angels so far this year. We would be foolish to not continue taking advantage of this. The Angels have not put up more than 3 runs against the Mariners in 4 games this year and the Mariners have not put up less than 5 runs against the Angels.


All 4 meetings between these teams have gone over. The Angels sit at 7-1 to the over this season and the Mariners 5-2. Both teams are averaging more than 5 runs for per game this season.

We love the pitching matchup in this Jays game, Morrow had a rough first start but has always done poorly against the Rays. On the flip side, Harrell has gotten roughed up quite a bit in his career. Offensively the teams aren’t close, and the Jays still haven’t hit their full offensive stride.


Zimmermann is a lights out pitcher, especially at home where he had a 12-3 record last season. Another mismatch similar to yesterday, the Marlins will fall back to earth – and we think the Nationals will help that today.

The Penguins have no where to go, and could very likely sit a few of their top players. The Red Wings on the other hand would like to stay ahead of the Blue Jackets and end up playing their same Penguins in the playoffs rather then the NHL leading Bruins
