Game: Phoenix Suns @ San Antonio Spurs
Time: Friday 04/11 8:35 PM Eastern
Pick: Phoenix +3 (-105) at 5Dimes
The San Antonio Spurs are at it again, as they somehow manage to keep finding ways to win. That may be a bit more difficult here tonight as they will take the floor without Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan - both key components to this team's success over many seasons. San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich has often gone with reserves in similar situations. And with the Spurs pretty secure in the #1 seed in the West, I wouldn't be surprised if starter minutes don't exist, or are diminished, coming off a win less than 24 hours ago in Dallas. The Suns are in a three-way dog fight with Memphis and Dallas to make the playoffs, so you know they will be focused and bringing a little extra, especially vs. the Spurs. One team is hungry while the other won't be very interested. Take the points on Phoenix.
Brooklyn -4.5 (Brooklyn has won 15 straight at home and are 22-2 in their last 24 at home. With the Friday night crowd on their side we see an easy win and cover! Nets by 8+).
MLB
St. Louis -155 (Taking Joe over Jeff in this good pitching duel. Kelly has the home crowd on his side and the better lineup. Cards win 4-3).
LA Angels -150 (Insurance Play)
LA Angels RL -1.5 +130 (Love this game tonight! Mets traveling across country after coming off a series win against the Braves. See a let down tonight in game 1 of the series and the Angels win big. Angels 8-3).
Detroit -105 (Great value for Detroit tonight. Detroit's playing better baseball right now and has the all around better team).
BIG AL's NBA DIVISION GAME OF THE MONTH; 87-66 NBA RUN!
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards minus the points over the Orlando Magic. Washington comes into this game off back to back losses, while Orlando has won its last two games. But we'll play on the Wizards to rebound tonight, and soundly defeat Orlando, as Washington falls into a 59% ATS system of mine. That system plays on certain road teams off a SU/ATS loss, if they're matched up against an opponent off a win, and our road team is not getting more than 6 points. Washington is locked in a battle with Charlotte for the all-important #6 seed (and the right to avoid Indiana and Miami in the first round of the Playoffs). And Orlando will be without Nikola Vucevic, who has an achilles injury (Orlando is an awful 3-18 without him in its lineup this year). I look for Washington to blow out Orlando tonight. Good luck, as always...Al
