SEATTLE MARINERS/TEXAS RANGERS – OVER 7
Elias/Ross
This game will showcase two left handed pitchers who have ERA’s that are slightly better than their overall talent. Both teams actually hit left handed pitching better than right handers and you can’t overlook a shaky Texas Bullpen. I think this total will sail over with relative ease. Take the Over
This is more of a “gut” play than anything else, and we have always found that when they occur, you roll with them. You have Mark Buehrle pitching out of his mind for the Blue Jays, sporting a 4-0 record with an 0.64 ERA, and he’s only a slight favorite at home pitching against Jake Peavy (0-0, 3.33 ERA) for the Red Sox. The Sox were very sloppy in their loss last night to the Yankees and had a nice plane ride to think about it. The change of venue and the desire to get Peavy his first win gets this done tonight for the visitors. The Sharps say…
The Rockets have fallen victim to Portlands best style of play through games one and two. And that is: allowing LaMarcus Aldridge to dominate the game with strong support from his supporting cast. Aldridge had is way in Houston with back-to-back 40+ point games. Even with that, Houston only lost game one by two points in overtime and game two by seven points. Houston knows it has to limit Aldridge's opportunities for any shot at success. Expect the Rockets to focus their attention on stopping Aldridge and that will help them steal game three in Portland. Take Houston plus the points.
