This is game Friday night between two teams that area really struggling as of late. The Mets have dropped six of their last seven games and will send Jenrry Mejia to the mount, who is 3-0 with a 5.23 ERA this year. 4-STAR NY METS over Philadelphia - The Mets were having trouble offensively, so the day off yesterday came at just the right time. Look for them to regroup and get back on track here.
The Mets got to take yesterday off while Philadelphia was finishing getting slaughtered by the Blue Jays yet again. Rested teams against teams with no rest are +1.8% playing on.
It was not just yesterday as the Phillies were swept in four games by the Blue Jays. Teams that have lost at least four straight games are +0.9% playing against.
New York lost on Wednesday, 1-0 to Miami. The Mets are 12-3 since July 01, 2013 after a loss it is the first game of the series for a net profit of $1075.
They did not give up that lone run until the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied after eight innings. Teams in the first game of a series after a game that was tied after at least eight separate innings are +7.1% playing on. 4-STAR Cleveland over TAMPA BAY - Corey Kluber is still not a name a ton of people are familiar with, but they should be. He is continuing to rise and should shut down a notoriously streaky offense.
Tampa Bay comes into this game struggling, having lost three straight. The Indians are 17-3 since April 12, 2013 vs a team that has lost at least their last three games and it is not the last game of a series for a net profit of $1408..
Cleveland has won three straight games, including 9-4 over Minnesota yesterday. They allowed just five hits to the Twins. Teams in the first game of a series that allowed five or fewer hits last game are +2.1% playing on.
Cleveland's offense was on the Twins throughout the game, getting four runs off their starter in 4.1 innings and another five off their bullpen. Road teams that scored more runs off their opponents bullpen than starter last game and less than five runs off the starter are +4.1% playing on.
Kluber goes today after an incredible start Sunday where he struck out 13 in eight innings. Starters that struck out at least 11 guys last outing are +2.0% playing on.
