                      STEVE'S 6 PACK PICKS

MARC LEISHMAN 44/1 - We have taken Leishman a few times this season and he has come just short of winning. Leishman is a tall Aussie who bombs the ball off the tee. He has one career victory and it came at the 2012 edition of the Travelers Championship. He beat Bubba Watson and Charley Hoffman by one shot that year thanks to a ridiculous final round 62 (8 birdies with no bogeys). Leishman has that ability every time he tees the ball up, but it all depends how his putter is working.
Marc ranks 95th on Tour for Strokes Gained trough Putting and 190th for putting from between 5-10 feet. I can overlook these stats this week though as his past success on these greens trumps it. Leishman will be excited to try and regain his title at this event and will be in contention on Sunday. It should be noted that even with Marc's distance he was able to hit over 76% of his fairways here in 2012.

                      BROOKS KOEPKA 45/1
                      - Koepka really put his name on the map last week at the US Open. He finished in a tie for 4th place during a very tough week at Pinehurst No. 2. With that great finish he actually earned an invitation to compete in his first Masters next year (Top 4 finish at US Open earns invite). He also earned full playing privileges for the PGA Tour in 2014-2015. Koepka is long off the tee yet he possesses hands of gold around the green. Like Marc it will depend if he can keep his putter hot this week .
Koepka took the route of playing in Europe even though he is American (played on the Challenge Tour and European Tour). The experience he has gained across the pond I feel will help him in the long run as a golfer. I expect Koepka to continue his hot play at a short course he should be able to over power. TPC River Highland has allowed some bombers to attack and succeed on it recently *(Leishman and Bubba), and I feel Brooks can add himself to that list.

                      BRENDON DE JONGE 45/1
                      - We go with another hot hand from the United States Open last week in De Jonge. He put himself in position for a weekend charge at the US Open with rounds of 68 and 70 to start his tournament. Unfortunately for him he feel off a bit on the weekend (73 and 76) to finish in a tie for 28th. De Jonge is still looking for his first win on Tour and TPC River Highland might just be the place he does it.
De Jonge had a great tournament here in 2012 when he finished T8. Brendon opened with a 72 that year but came out flag hunting in the following three rounds (65. 66, 66). He also finished T9 in 2010 at the Travelers. Brendon is not a particularly long hitter ( 115th in Driving Distance) but instead he is extremely accurate (27th on Tour in Driving Accuracy hitting over 66%). He loves to play lots of golf ( has competed in 21 events already ) and tends to get on short runs of success. Lets back this big man from Zimbabwe this week.

                      FREDDIE JACOBSON 48/1
                      - We go with the sharp shooter Freddie Jacobson this week at the Travelers. Jacobson is a Swedish born player who is one of the better short game players on Tour. Freddie won this event in 2011 by posting a very impressive -20 for the week (65, 66, 63, 66). Jacobson made just one bogey that entire week and it came during the 4th round on hole 10 (Challenging Par 4).
Jacobson is 39 years old now but has still posted eight Top 25's this season in 19 events. His best finish came just under a month ago at the Crowne Plaza Invitational when he finished T3. Freddie ranks 8th on Tour in Stroked Gained through Putting and 14th at Scrambling (coverts over 62%). The key for Freddie will be giving himself opportunities for birdies, as he only ranks 121st for Greens in Regulation. If he can give himself plenty of looks, I am totally confident that Jacobson can win this tournament again this week.

                      RYAN MOORE 35/1
                      - Moore's game is actually very similar to Jacobson's, as he relies on his wedges and putter to put himself in contention ( though Ryan is much more accurate than Freddie). Moore has three career victories including one this season at the CIMB Classic. Ryan has 9 Top 25's already in just 16 events, and puts forth a solid performance almost every week. In an event that will most likely be won by a low score, Moore is one of the best at posting birdies, as he ranks 22nd on Tour for Birdie Average.
In his career Moore has achieved five Top 15's at this event, including a pair of runner ups. Last season he was T7 here, and probably would have won it if he didn't have an ugly stretch in the middle of his 2nd round. People always ask who my favourite selection is each week, and this week that is Moore. He possesses everything needed to win on this course and has proven that he loves playing here.

                      JASON DAY 15/1
                      - Jason Day is one of the best golfers in the world. If I was certain about his health he would have been on our list last week. He proved that he is plenty healthy with a T4 finish at the US Open last week. Jason is long off the tee, great with his irons, and he is one of the better putters on Tour in my opinion (29th and 15th for Strokes Gained through Putting the past two seasons).
Jason has only won twice on Tour which is extremely surprising based on his talent. He has only competed in this event once and placed T27, but I feel he will improve on that this week. Hopefully Jason can put his recent injuries behind him and start his ascent up the World Golf Rankings, trying to catch his fellow countryman Adam Scott (Jason is currently 7th). Enjoy watching one of the best young talents in the game go for his 3rd career PGA Tour victory.
                      HEAD TO HEAD

We went 1-1 last week in our head to head picks because Kuchar beat our pick Jordan Spieth by one stroke. We have another great head to head this week.
3 Units on Ryan Moore (-125) over Brandt Snedeker - Moore owns this golf course and will prove that once again this year. Brandt played well at the US Open (T9), but prior to that he had finished inside the Top 35 in just one of his pst eight tournaments. Both players can roll the ball terrifically on the green, but its Ryan Moore all the way for us.
                      Steve
