The Baltimore Orioles have played as well as any AL team over the last six weeks, and have a comfortable lead in the AL East. When you look at Chris Tillman, his stats say he is very beatable, but he seems to pitch well enough to win and is indeed a winner. He has an ERA in the mid-3s, good but not great, and also had similar numbers last season. When the dust settles, however, this guy is 34-15 over the last three years. Jose Quintana deserves better than his 6-9 record, but the issue here is not the starter, but the pen. The White Sox pen has been imploding all season, and seems to cost them on a regular basis. All you need to know to see why is that he is 6-9 is in 25 starts, allowing just 54 runs, but the bullpen behind him has allowed even more at 55. This is a ready-to-win game made for Tillman in this match-up, so take Baltimore.

Strasburg on the hill for the Nats, Iwakuma on the hill for the M’s – we have a ton of faith is both these guys here against sub par offenses. The Nationals offense is also red hot, the have won 7 straight games scoring 4.86 runs per game over that span. Meanwhile, Iwakuma has been out quite the roll (0.84 ERA, 0.84 WHIP last 3 starts) and will have his way with this Phillies lineup tonight.

Mikolas is terrible and owns a 7.71 ERA through 44.1 innings (8 starts). Cosart has had one good start over his past 6 with the other 5 starts having 4, 5, 3, 5, 6 ER. Both teams are hovering around the 8 runs a game marker over their past 5 contests.

The Dodgers should be much bigger favourites at home. The Dodgers have won 7 of 10 meetings against the Padres this year. The Padres are also terrible on the road. They have a 24-38 road record this year. Ian Kennedy may be slightly better than Correia, but not good enough to justify this line. The Dodgers have faced Kennedy 3 times this year so there will be no secrets. The Padres have not seen Correia as he came from the Twins in the AL recently. This is an advantage for Correia and we expect another solid outing from him.

Coming of a nice 8-2 Monday night against the White Sox, we like this spot again here tonight. Orioles starter Chris Tillman has been on point last three times out where he has gone 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA.
