Game: St. Louis Blues @ Arizona Coyotes
Time: Saturday 10/18 9:05 PM Eastern
Pick: St. Louis -120 (moneyline) at 5Dimes
Arizona has gotten off to a quick 2-1 start as this will be their fourth straight home game to open the season, but they will play six of their next seven on the road. St. Louis has had trouble finding the net in their first three games, but they peppered LA on the road with 43 shots, but fell 1-0 in a shootout loss. It is only a matter of time before a few of their shots start finding the net, and as always, the goaltending and work on the defensive end remains strong. Arizona made quick work of a weak Edmonton team in their last game with a 7-4 win, but the 4 goals is the issue here as they also surrendered 6 to Winnipeg in their opener. St. Louis is a team with offense waiting to happen and the Coyotes have been loose on that end, so I look for a breakout game for the St. Louis attack tonight. The Coyotes are just 8-17 in their last 25 when following a win will be hard pressed to improve upon that tonight. Play on St. Louis.

OC Dooley: “1 UNIT” EARLY EVENING COLLEGE UNDERDOG (Florida International +21’ at home versus Marshall in a 6:00 eastern kickoff): It is easy to see why undefeated Marshall who has successfully covered the spread all but once in six game has been cast as a prohibitive favorite. Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato is attempting to set an all-time NCAA record this evening (originally set by Super Bowl winning quarterback Russell Wilson) tossing a touchdown pass in 39 consecutive contests. Marshall is the only offense in the country to put at least forty points on the scoreboard each week while on the other side of the football their defense is ranked #13 nationally in average touchdowns yielded per week. Despite the statistical advantages one had to consider that tonight is the third time in the past month that Marshall has had to play on the highway. More importantly the last time Florida International played in front of their HOME fans they were nearly a full touchdown underdog pulling off an OUTRIGHT upset versus a geographical rival (Florida Atlantic). At most offshore locations the total for this game opened at 59 points which opens door to a rather shocking long term statistic. When the posted spot is between 56’-and-63 points and the team is playing on the “road” Marshall has been for investors (2-10 ATS) a financial disaster
