Nice Saturday card of college football, as we have five selections on tap, one 20* Super Play Conference GOY, 15* and three 10* selections,
let’s take a look at one of our famous 10* “Katie bar the door “ selections.

[325] Baylor (-7.5) at [326] West Virginia (O/U 80) kick is at 12:00 pm est.
Back in 2012 these two lit up the scoreboard to the tune of 133 total points, in a WV win 70-63,
three points shy of an NCAA record and a jaw dropping 1504 yards of total offense,
‘13 saw an another high scoring affair as the Bears return the favor in a 73-42 win, 115 total points.
This year we call for more of the same fireworks as these two will be pushing the century mark.

          10* selection Over 80

                          triple-dime bet 325 Baylor / 326 West Virginia OVER 79.5 Bookmaker.com
                          Analysis:
3**** BEST BET on: OVER THE TOTAL
Last week, we waited patiently all season long to find the best fit for a MARSHALL THUNDERING HERD game to go ‘Over the Total’. We found it in their home game versus the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. The same holds true for this week’s big play. We’ve been patiently waiting all season for the BEST spot to go hot and heavy (and OVER) in a BAYLOR BEARS game. And here we are. A road game in Morgantown on Mountaineer Field against a very good offensive team that can trade quick points with the Bears. One offense that’s ranked NUMBER ONE in the country (at a whopping 622.5 yards per game). Taking on another offense that’s ranked NUMBER EIGHT in the country (at 552.2 YPG). Talk about a shootout! Baylor comes in with the #6 passing attack in the country (371 passing YPG)… and West Virginia is right behind at #7 in the country (368.3 passing YPG). No wonder the OU line is so high. This BIG 12 battle opened with an OU line of 78 points. As of Wednesday evening, it had risen to 79.5 to 80 points. Obviously, with so many bettors looking to go OVER in this game, you’ll need to get your play in AS SOON as possible. We got our play in at the line of 78 points. Weather Report: only a 9% chance of rain and winds of only 7-8 miles per hour.

This is West Virginia’s third season since joining the Big 12 Conference. A look at each of the last two meetings between these 2 teams is ALONE worthy of a 4* or 5* Best Bet selection. The first meeting (played on this field) in 2012 was a classic offensive showcase. The OU line in that game (82.5) is similar to this Saturday’s line (79 to 80 points). It was literally last team with the ball WINS. A combined 28 points in the first quarter, at the half, the score was already 35 to 35. It officially went OVER this gaudy total with 9 minutes left in the third quarter. Heading onto the 4th, the score was 56 to 42. And both teams combined for 35 points in the fourth quarter. When the smoke had cleared, West Virginia came away the Victor by a final score of 70 to 63! Baylor had 700 total yards of offense. And West Virginia had 807 yards of total offense (that’s not a typo). In addition to the combined 1507 yards, 82% of those yards were via the pass (BAY: 581 passing yards / WVA: 656 passing yards).

Fast forward to last season. The site switched to Waco, TX. The OU line was 69 points. There was NO way that these two teams would match the offensive explosion from 2012, was there? Well… they came close. The Bears (with big-time REVENGE) got out to a 28-7 lead after one quarter. At the half, the score was already 56-14. That’s right, the game went OVER in the freakin’ second quarter! Everything after that was gravy. A combined 17 points in the 3rd quarter… and a combined 28 points in the 4th quarter. Final score was Baylor 73 / West Virginia 42. The Bears had 875 total yards of offense. West Virginia chinned in with 400 yards of offense. The game went OVER by 45.5 points. The Bears kept the pedal to the medal for the entire game, even scoring the last two TD’s when the game was already in hand. That’s a situation in which a lot of teams would have slowed things down and played conservatively. But not Baylor. They WILL run up the score if needed. As one of six current undefeated teams, it behooves them to score as many points as possible to impress the 12-person selection committee for the new College Football national championship. So the last two meetings in this series have totaled 133 and 155 points. Those are basketball numbers, not football!

So the Baylor ‘Payback 2014’ road tour pulls into Morgantown on Saturday. One will remember that back in 2012, the Bears went 0-4 in Conference road games. Those games were @ West Virginia… @Iowa State… @ Texas… and @ Oklahoma. The losses (by a combined 35 points) added to the widely held belief that the Bears were a much better home team than road team. Even TCU head coach Gary Patterson raised that point prior to last week’s game (a 61-58 Baylor win that went OVER by +53 points!). The Bears have the exact same conference road schedule this season as they did in 2012. So far, Baylor has won at Texas and Iowa State by a combined 42 points. Next up: A little Revenge from two seasons ago at this same Mountaineer Field. The Bears are 27-9-1 O/U in their last 37 conference games.

It’s important in every Baylor OVER that we play that there is an opponent that has an offense that can trade points with the Bears. And we have a taylor-made one in West Virginia. They come in with an offense averaging 37.0 points per game. Their last five games have seen point totals of 37… 33… 33… 40… and 54 points. In the last three seasons, West Virginia has averaged 42.8 points per game in EVERY lined home game. The Mountaineers are 28-9 O/U after allowing 280 > passing yards in their last game… 6-1 O/U after allowing 450 > TOTALS yards in a game… and a perfect 5-0 O/U in their last five games versus winning (>.500) opponents.

The projected score in this game based on the point spread and OU line is: Baylor 44 / West Virginia 36.
Our Playbook College Football database simulations have this game ending with a final score of 52 to 44. That’s about 16.5 points HIGHER than the current OU line.

                          double-dime bet 384 Fla. Atlantic 4.5 (-110) Hilton vs 383 W. Kentucky
                          Analysis:
2** FLORIDA ATLANTIC OWLS plus the points versus Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
                          12:00pm ET - 9:00pm PT / #384

Play ON versus Play AGAINST. The home dog OWLS of Florida Atlantic have been one of college football's BEST ATS teams over the last three seasons. You'd be hard pressed to find a better winning percentage that the Owl's 73% against the spreaƒd since the start of the 2012 season. In that time, Florida Atlantic has gone 19-7-1 ATS. That improves to 16-4 ATS (80%) as underdogs... and a perfect 9-0 ATS when facing an opponent (like Western Kentucky) playing off a SU loss. The OWLS have gone a PERFECT 11-0-1 ATS after scoring 20 or less points in their last game... 9-3 ATS versus losing (< .500) opponents... and 5-1 ATS in their last six home games.

For the road favorite Hilltoppers, their ATS results are almost an exact reversal of Florida Atlantic's in the same time frame. They've been a great 'play AGAINST' team. Western Kentucky has gone 6-15 ATS over the last 2+ seasons. That includes 3--12 ATS when placed in the role of 'chalk' (favorites). When laying points, the Hilltoppers have gone 2-11 ATS off a non-conference game... including a perfect 0-8 ATS since the beginning of last season. Western Kentucky has a defense that's current ranked #123 in the entire country (out of 126 teams!). They allow a whopping 517 yards per game... and 38 points per game on defense (#116 overall).

Both teams come in with a week of rest... and surprising (bad) results in their last game. Western Kentucky lost outright as a home favorite versus UAB. And Florida Atlantic lost outright as a road favorite versus Florida International. In this situation, we always look to grab the points.
18-4 ATS since 2003: All Conference home dogs playing with REST off a SUATS loss (FLA ATLANTIC) vs any opponent ALSO playing with REST (W Kentucky).

In the Owl's last game, they laid -6.5 points on the road road... and were shocked by the Panthers, losing by 4 full TD's (38 to 10). We definitely want to play ON these pissed-off teams in their next game.
9-1 ATS since 2002: All Conference home teams off a SU conference road loss of 28 > points in which they were a favorite of -6 > pts (OWLS).
