This game is going to have a playoff-type atmosphere and both teams are desperate for a win here. Each sits at 5-4 and the loser is going to be hard-pressed to make a run at the playoffs. The Buffalo Bills are losers. It is in their DNA. But if you set that intangible aside this is actually a very sound football team. I give them the edge at running back, quarterback and on the offensive line. Both defenses are capable of dominating this one and I think that they will. But I think that works in Buffalo’s favor. The Bills have dominated the Fins the last two years, winning three straight by 19, 19 and 2 points. The Bills have won three of their four road games this year and outgained Houston in the one loss. If you kick out the 37-0 win over San Diego – and the Chargers had a ton of things working against them in that game – the Dolphins have only been mediocre for the last two months. I just have a feeling that we are due for a close game on a Thursday night. They have all been blowouts to this point. And since I can see both defenses dominating this game I think that lends some value to the points. Four of the last five meetings and seven of the last nine have gone ‘under’ and I just trust the two defenses a little more in this one

Miami is going to get this one in a blowout! It has been a big advantage for teams playing at home on Thursday nights. And most of the Thursday games have been blowouts. I think that this one will continue the trend. Miami has been playing very strong football of late. They nearly got a win in Detroit last week and have won three of their last four games. The Bills have been sagging. They got off to a good start to the season. But they are just 3-4 in their last seven games. They lost a heartbreaker to the Chiefs last week. Turnovers killed their chances of winning that game. I think they will carry that loss with them on the plane down to Miami. The Dolphins have lost three straight to the Bills. They were swept in the series last year. They will want revenge and they will get it. The home team has won four of five in this series and the favorite has been the easy play. The team laying points is 6-1 ATS the last seven times these two teams hook up. This spread is going to get higher and higher and it won’t matter. I see Miami winning this one by at least 10 points. Take the Fins in a blowout!
