This is our top play of day with James Madison taking on Delaware. Delaware plays absolutely no defense whatsoever and as a result Ron Curry is going to have a field day! We think he could go for 30 easily against this porous defense. We will take the better, more veteran team in James Madison.
SMU -11
This is a tough spot for SMU as they are DD favorite against a very poor team. We think that SMU continues to show up as it has done all year. What a difference Kennedy coming back makes for a team like SMU. SMU is clicking on all cylinders and South Florida should really not put up much of a fight even though they are at home. This is looking like a 20 point win for SMU tonight!
Air Force -8
The check your local listings game tonight. No one should really be watching this game tonight unless you have some skin on it like we will. This game is against two bottom feeders with only one win in conference. So you must be asking yourself why are we backing a road team with only one conference win who is missing their best player it is because they are playing San Jose State. This team looks lost on both sides of the ball especially on the offensive side of the ball. Even though Air Force really doesn't play much defense they should be able to stop the pathetic attack of San Jose State. Olesinski has really stepped up in the absence of Yon and should cause problems inside tonight.
2* Plays
Northern Iowa -7
We really wanted to pull the trigger on this game as a 3* play but downgraded it as we are afraid of Northern Iowa looking ahead to their game against Wichita State on Saturday.
South Dakota State -9
Omaha loves to speed it up and that is going to cause many issues on the defensive side of the ball against a very gifted South Dakota State team. SDSU should be able to get to 80 easily with Omaha struggling to get above 60 against SDSU's staunch defense.

Saint John's -1
At 9:00 pm ET, St. Johns visits Creighton in a Big East battle. St. Johns enters this contest at 13-6 SU, 2-4 in Big East play. Creighton enters at 9-12 SU, 0-8 SU in Big East play. These 2 split a pair of home court decisions last year with St. Joes winning 70-65 in MSG, while Creighton carved out a 63-30 victory on this court as a 12 point home favorite. But, this is a far different season for Creighton than was last year.
It has been a season in which Creighton went from the penthouse to the outhouse! Last year, led by player of the year, Doug McDermott, the Blue Jays soared to the Big East crown and the round of 32 in the NCAA, where they lost an 85-55 decision to Baylor. This year, McDermott, along with 3 other starters have departed. Last season, the Blue Jays were one of the best offensive teams in the NCAA. Creighton averaged 79 PPG on 50% shooting and 42% from the arc with 10 triples per game. They had a 17.5/9.8 A/TO ratio. This year, without those 4 RS, Creighton is averaging just 68 PPG, 42% from the field, 34% from the arc with only 13.9 assists per game. As a result, this team enters tonight winless in Big East play with a recent record of 1-4 SU, 0-5 ATS home record vs. lined teams. This, on a floor, where they had previously gone 50-4 SU. Over the weekend, things got even worse for Creighton. They lost 2nd leading scorer, Zierden (10 PPG), to a knee injury. He was averaging 40% on triples and 90% from the stripe. Consider this to be the FCB (Final Crushing Blow) on a Creighton season, which will now disintegrate. Expect no compassion from St. Johns.
When last we left the Red Storm, they were hosting Duke on their MSG home court in an effort to prevent Coach K from reaching his 1,000th victory. With less than 10 minutes remaining in the game, St. Johns held a comfortable 10 point lead. But, the 77-68 Duke comeback victory, left them without either the victory or cover. At 2-4 SU in Big East play, they will be fully focused on getting this victory.
Look for St. Johns’ lockdown defense, which allows just 63 PPG, 39% from the field and 31% from the arc to add to Creighton’s offensive woes, resulting in a comfortable Red Storm victory.
