Van Gundy has done this before and when it happens the Pistons usually respond in a big way as they recently beat a solid Houston squad by 13 points at home after losing the previous game by 20 points at Philadelphia. The Pistons have covered 6 of their last 7 times following a loss on the game before. Detroit is a team that looks to be actually fighting hard for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and not tanking. They badly need a win here to make up some ground on Charlotte.

The Hornets come in missing two of their best players right now as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kemba Walker are out with injuries. These are two of the best players on this team.
