Tough spot here for Kent State, which will be playing its fifth road game out of its last seven games overall and will once again be without leading scorer and rebounder Jimmy Hall, who is battling mononucleosis. The Flashes offense has struggled mightily in Hall’s absence as they were already without Kellen Thomas, a junior point guard who suffered a broken eye socket. Kent has been forced to turn to sophomore Marquiez Lawrence and freshman Raasean Davis to help make up for Hall’s absence. That doesn’t bode well against a revenge-minded Toledo team that’s playing as well as it has all season. The Rockets enter on a six-game winning streak that has seen them average nearly 80 points per game. Lay the points.
