We will gladly take the Phoenix Suns on the road at Miami today in what is a matchup that is much anticipated by those that follow the League. Dragic wanted out of Phoenix and he got his wish after saying what he believed to be a franchise not going anywhere in direction because it was heavy in point guards and he felt misled. This forced the hand of Phoenix management to move Dragic and the slick Pat Riley came in and swooped him away only to see Bosh go out for the season with potential blood clots soon after. And on top of all that you have Phoenix management saying they got the best player in the Trade as a dig on Dragic. And despite all that, what you see is a line of just +2 or +1.5 coming into today for Phoenix as Miami is only a small favorite with Dragic. Why? This is because Phoenix had a horrible game in their last contest against the Spurs in what was a true embarrassment.
Coach Hornacek just said its one of those games and it even led to Markieff Morris calling out the fanbase for not being as loud or supportive as the team as basically calling everyone outside the first 3 rows as fairweather fans. This team could have not have shot more poorly in that contest. This team already lost to Miami 97-103 earlier this year and has revenge from that and is actively looking to avoid another embarrassing loss today after being beat by the Spurs 74-101 in what was one of the worst losses of the year. So you have a highly motivated Phoenix team on the bounce-back, with revenge, facing a former teammate who did not want to play with them anymore against a Miami team that has not beat a team above .500 in quite some time. Don’t be too hard on Phoenix for that loss against San Antoino as they had just beat OKC and were on a let down and the Spurs needed a big win on their last leg of their road trip which was a bit lackluster for them. Great spot for Phoenix to bounce-back here and we’ll roll with them
