7-Unit Play. #502. Take Indiana -5.5 over Toronto (Monday @ 7:05pm est) (Currently -5 at ) We roll with Indiana here at home today against Toronto and note that normally we would not like the 5.5 line here but this is different for a variety of reasons. Indiana is rolling right now. They have quietly reeled of a series of wins and are one of the hottest teams in the league to the surprise of many. This team is aware of the injury status of their key players and its almost like they sincerely beleive they not only can make the playoffs and make a strong push but they also could really make some noise deep into the playoffs and are building their resume accordingly. Take a look at how Indiana has done it of late as they are 30-35 overall but are 35-27-3 ATS this season, Indiana lost to this team by 13 points earlier this season, they face a Toronto team who has lost 8 out of their last 10 contests and are just 3-7 ATS in those last 10 games and face an Indiana team who is off a loss and who is 8-2 over its last 10. Indiana over its last 10 games, has beat Milwaukee, crushed Orlando 118-86 beating the 8.5 line, beat Chicago by 14 points (our 8-unit selection a while back), crushed New York, Philly, beat Cleveland, Golden State and fell short to OKC on the road. That’s quite an impressive resume for a team being overlooked. Plus this is a good public fade to boot as well as the public is on Toronto. But Toronto is not the darling as they were earlier this year. They have come back down to earth and it indeed looks like Indiana is the darling right now of the underdog role. This team is Basketballl Mecca of the United States (yes, more than New York) and with Toronto losing to Charlotte and New York lately, this is a team struggling right now. Though we wish Toronto would not have lost by double-digits to Portland in their last game, we do take comfort in the fact that Toronto crushed Indiana their last game when they were not playing as well. Look for Indiana to do well here and step up nicely as Indiana picks up the win and the cover here likely this evening.
