7-Unit Play. Take #956 San Diego -130 over San Francisco (Thursday, April 9th at 6:40 p.m.) I love the Padres in this spot. They are hitting the ball early in the year and this is their home opener. Most importantly, Ian Kennedy toes the rubber for the Padres tonight. I really like Kennedy and he has had some success vs the Giants at home. In two outings at home vs. SF since joining the Padres, Kennedy has pitched 12.2 innings allowing just 10 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 12. His team won both games, 8-2 and 4-1. The Giants counter with Hudson. Huddy was hammered by the Padres the last time he faced them last year. San Diego pounded out 7 hits and scored 5 runs in just 4.1 innings. I like the Padres to open their home season with a big win over the World Champions. Ian Kennedy is not afraid of this “moment”. Take San Diego.
