Brad Stephens is renowned for his ability to make changes and note that these two teams are indeed very familiar with each other. The last time these two teams met Cleveland ran away with it by winning 113-100 and the total was set at 204.5 in that contest. It’s hard to imagine Boston not making the necessary changes and giving up 113 points this time around. This is the Coach of Butler who is arguably one of the best x’s and o’s coaches in the league despite being so young. He is so good that Coach Pop has admittedly taken items away from him already and used it for his own team. This is a team that beat Cleveland earlier this year by scores of 117-78 and 99-90. Both those contests went under and though the last one went over, it sets up for a much more hard fought and closer game this time around that has a more defensive prowess to the contest. Note Cleveland shot lights out their last game too and its hrad to see them shooting with such great efficiency today. Prior to giving up 113 points, this is a Boston team that held opponents to 100, 92, 78 and 90 points. A classic example of Boston’s ability to adapt is when they gave up 110 points to Milwaukee in a 101-110 loss to them on April 3rd and their ability to bounce-back next time around beating them 105-100 on the road as they held them to 10 fewer points. This team could not have played worst in their last game defensively against Cleveland losing 100-113 so it is easy to see how a few adjustments here and there could indeed send the game under due to 3 less scoring possessions and Cleveland having a less successful scoring output. Boston goes to the Under when they are active dogs which is a bit different but that is what we will roll with here. With the adjustments Coach Stephens is set to make, a bounce-back effort defensively by Boston, a let down for Cleveland as well and the Under being 8-3 for Boston when they face a team with a winning percentage of greater than 60% and the Under being 5-2 when Cleveland faces a team with a straight up winning record, look for this contest to likely go under the posted total as we look to go a perfect 7-0 (+5600) with 8-Unit plays this year in the NBA and also look to hit our 5-unit selection in Baseball and the hockey playoffs (22-11 back to back years) in what is a duplication of our 3-0 Saturday Overall. We have this contest sitting around 201 this evening.
