NBA Sunday - Grab the Value
The LA Clippers are 7 points better than many teams in the NBA but not the Houston Rockets in my view. Although the Clippers are 3-0 ATS in this series so far, I feel we are getting good value on the road team in game 4. The Clippers are on the back of a 124-99 beat-down of Houston on Friday night, shooting 55.4% from the field and 45% from beyond the arc.
A couple of trends to keep in mind are that the Clippers are just 4-8 ATS after scoring 120 points or more, conversely the Houston Rockets are 9-4 ATS after giving up 120 or more points. Rockets coach Kevin McHale is a big advocate of being able to re-adjust after defeats, highlighted by the 13-3 ATS mark following a loss throughout the regular season.
This is another case of Vegas posting a number that is going to get as close to equal action as possible from the betting market (52% on LA). Henceforth, I will grab the generous 7 points with the Rockets in this one.
