Take Cincinnati -146 over Atlanta @ (Tuesday @ 7:10pm est) We roll with Cincinnati here for a variety of reasons the least of which we think this is a good spot for our 4th straight win and attain a new season high. Cincinnati has seen Folty before as he gave up 2 earned runs in 5 hits (3 total runs) but on 6 hits and 3 walks in his first start of the year coming over from Houston. The Braves ended up squeaking it out and winning 4-3. Then Folty pitched against the Phillies and gave up 4 earned runs in on 7 hits in just over 5 innings and 3 walks in that process and ended up winning 7-5 in that contest. Look for that to not happen today as the Reds have a beat on his pitches and meet him for the second time today. Note that Desclafani has lost 3 straight for the Reds and really needs a quality start here which is partly why this line is so high. Also note that the Braves beat him 3-4 earlier this year so he definitely has revenge coming into this game as he will likely make the tune up changes he needs to and pick up the win this time around – in particular as he comes off a loss as well. Anthony DeSclafani has a lot of talent as he had given up 2 runs in 21 innings prior to that over 3 starts, look for him to really put things together with revenge here and pick up the win – and Folty’s luck runs out against a team who gets to see him for the 2nd time in just a few weeks and their memories are fresh. Reds likely win this one by a couple runs this evening.
