2-Unit Play. Take #955 San Francisco (+110) over Milwaukee (2 p.m., Monday, May 25) Not really sure why the Giants are underdogs here. Yes, they had a long weekend with four games in three days in Colorado. But the Brewers have played some grueling games in the heat down in Atlanta over the weekend, losing three of four. Kyle Lohse has been beat this year while Tim Lincecum has been on fire. He has just a 2.08 ERA and has given up just 11 hits in his last three starts. Walks can get him in trouble. But this Milwaukee team is notoriously impatient. The Giants didn’t get done until late last night in Colorado and are at a situational disadvantage. But that is really the only thing keeping this from being a huge play for me.
1-Unit Play. Take #960 St. Louis (-160) over Arizona (4 p.m., Monday, May 25) I’m just still not buying Arizona. I know they’re on a little rush right now but I’m not impressed with this team. The Cardinals have to be a little salty about losing that series to the Royals and now that they are back home they are going to be focused.
2-Unit Play. Take #965 Kansas City (+115) over N.Y. Yankees (1 p.m., Monday, May 25)
This is another game where the wrong team is favored. Yes, the Royals could have a slight letdown after their series against the Cardinals. But you don’t have a letdown going to Yankee Stadium. The Royals are much better than the Yankees, who got strafed by the Rangers this weekend, and Kansas City’s speed is going to cause the older Yankees a lot of problems.
