Rockies/Reds Over 8 -120 (Kendrick/Leake)
Nearly everything says this game should be high scoring. My number on this game is 9.5. Kendrick has been somewhat surprising lately, but he's still barely top 150 overall in starting pitcher metrics. Leake has been a horror show of late for the Reds and his home numbers are dismal. Both pitchers are down near the bottom of the list in soft hit balls at just 15% and 16% respectively. Colorado's bullpen isn't very good and I don't see any chance of Chapman being available today, along with Diaz. The one negative is that neither team is exactly clobbering the ball and there are a few guys sitting today, but even adjusting for that perhaps a half run this is still very playable at 8.
White Sox +110 (Samardzija/Estrada)
I'm gambling on Samardzija here. He's off his best start of the season and while the Blue Jays lineup is bombs away right now, good pitching can still shut down good hitting. Estrada has gotten stretched out after some short outings after working out of the pen for the early part of the season and while his overall numbers are not good, he's not a huge liability here. Clearly the team form isn't good for the White Sox and Robertson had a disastrous outing in the ninth last night. Samardzija has not been very effective on the road so far, but again, I want to give him a go here off the dominant start last time, so I'll take a chance with the White Sox.
