At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Dodgers over the San Diego Padres. Back in 2009, when he was with the Royals, RHP Zack Greinke was the most dominant pitcher in the game, posting 16 wins with a 2.16 ERA and taking home the AL Cy Young. Greinke spent one more year in Kansas City and then bounced around from the Brewers to the Angels, and although Greinke was very good through most of that time, we didn't see quite that dominating a force on the mound again. Until now. Since landing with the Dodgers, Greinke has reminded us much more of that elite starter, and this season in particular, he's back to looking like the best in his league. In 12 starts so far, Greinke is 5-1 with a 1.92 ERA and 0.95 WHIP, making him the best starter right now on the team with the defending two-time Cy Young winner (Kershaw). He's enjoying a rejuvenated offense that's been supporting to the tune of about 4.7 runs per game, which is almost exactly the type of support he received in 2014 when he won 17 games for this team. The Dodgers have taken eight of the last 11 meetings heading into Saturday, and they are 7-2 in Greinke's last nine starts vs. San Diego. Take L.A. 10* play. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
