I love this “spot” for these Nats this evening. We have Gio taking the ball at HOME (where he has simply excelled this season). Gio also has been outstanding over the last month, demonstrating outstanding command of the zone and his pitches. Again, I won’t “copy and paste” a ton of “stats” as there is enough of that info/stuff out there. These Mets are coming off a 6 hr game that went 18 innings and of course the Mets bullpen played a big role in the marathon game. NYM SP Harvery has been regressing after an outstanding start to the season. His command has not been as good and he’s been much more hittable for awhile now…..Add on the fact that these Mets are pretty anemic vs LH pitching and they face a very tough LH tonight who’s really on his game right now & pitching at a ballpark he has a ton of confidence at. The bottom line for me here, is that I have this game lined -130 so there is VALUE for me on Washington in this ‘spot’. We have a much more rested bullpen as well & I am on the WASHINGTON NATIONALS tonight.

RIVER CITY SHARPS – MLB

Cincinnati Reds (-106) Reds offense wakes up tonight vs. Richard, who I expect to struggle tonight. I also really like Lorenzen and think he’s going to be a good one for Cincy. Been the victim of very little run support, won’t be the problem tonight.

Rays/Phillies – Over 8.5 (-110) Phillies bats have awoken and now get a shot at Moore, who has labored in his early starts back from Tommy John. Buchanan gives up runs in bunches and this feels like a slugfest at Citizens Bank tonight.

Braves Team Total – Over 3.5 (-115) Gladly take the generous 3.5 number against Beachy, who has been pretty ineffective in is starts since returning from injury.

Reds Team Total – Over 4 (-120) See above…Think Richard gets hit hard tonight by Frazier and the Reds.

Pittsburgh Pirates (+125) Pure value play…Like Burnett as the live road puppy and Pittsburgh off terrible Sunday performance. He is 3-1, 1.83 ERA in his six starts vs. KC and the Pet Detective has told everyone he’s not 100%, but they are still carting him out there.
