On Thursday the Free MLB Totals system play is on the under 6.5 runs in the LA. Dodgers at NY. Mets game at 7:10 eastern. The Dodgers have Kershaw going and he has a superb 1.36 era since May26th and has a 1.58 career Era vs the Mets spanning 8 starts. He will be opposed by Bartolo Colon who has pitched under in 4 of his last 5 starts and should do well here against LA. This game fits a small and very rare totals system that has gone under the only 4 times it has applied since 2004, for road favorites at -190 or higher that are off a road win vs an opponent that is off a road loss. The Dodgers have gone under in 14 of 17 road games where the total is 7 or less and the Mets 4 of 5 times as a home dog at +150 or higher. Look for this one to go under. 7-Unit Play. Take #905 Milwaukee (-127) over Arizona (9:40 p.m., Thursday, July 23)
The Brewers have won four of five games out of the All Star Break and they are playing well right now. They might be too far out of it in the Central. But they are going to make a push here. This is a very favorable price and the moneyline tells me all I need to know. The fact that the Brewers are favored on the road is a big indication of how this one is going to go. Arizona has lost eight of nine games. They look like a team that is starting to look ahead to the offseason and to next year. They are starting a rookie pitcher tonight in Zack Godley. I do not know if he is ready for the Majors and I expect the Brewers to take advantage of his inexperience. The road team is 7-2 in this series and Arizona is just 1-8 in its last nine games overall.
2-Unit Play. Take #920 Houston (-145) over Boston (8 p.m., Thursday, July 23)
The Astros are going for the sweep today. They picked up a big win for me last night that resulted in a 7-Unit score. I am going to go right back to the Astros today. The Red Sox still haven't won a game since the All Star Break! They are giving up on the season and I don't think it is going to turn around today
3-unit Play Take #905 Milwaukee Brewers (-130) over Arizona Diamondbacks (9:40pm EST) The Milwaukee Brewers aren't giving up on the season despite a horrific start to the 2015 campaign. They are 17-7 over their last 24 games and are healthier than they have been all season long. Mike Fiers takes the bump for Milwaukee in this one and he's been their most steady starting pitcher this year. The deceptive right-hander owns 3.97 ERA and is striking out 8.9 batters per nine innings. He'll face a tough Arizona lineup today, but Fiers should have the advantage. The D-Backs haven't seen him since April 2013, and Fiers isn't an easy guy to pick up due to his unusual mechanics. As a result, he should pitch well the first time or two through the batting order. Arizona counters with rookie right-hander Zach Godley, who will be making the first start of his career. Godley wasn't all that impressive in the minor leagues in Double-A. He made three starts there and amassed a 5.14 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. Arizona may be rushing him a bit to see what they have, because he's never even pitched in Triple-A. The Cubs had Godley in their system and traded him away in the Miguel Montero deal in the offseason. Given that the Cubs don't have much top level pitching in their system, I wouldn't expect they'd give up Godley if they thought he was going to be a big league starter. The Brewers aren't an easy lineup to navigate in your first career start, so we could see a crooked number early on. Take the red hot Brewers to get the job done in this one.

4 Unit Play. Take #920 Houston -140 over Boston (8:10p.m., Thursday July 23)
Jumping on the Boston Red Sox fade train tonight! Boston has dropped 7-Straight and all 7 of those games were on the road and tonight they continue to be on the road. The Astros have won 3-Straight and they have outscored their opponents 22-5 and I smell the broom being brought out tonight in Houston. If Boston starter Wade Miley struggles early look for the Astros to push over early runs and the Sox go to the bullpen early tonight then this game could get out of control because the Red Sox bullpen has to be exhausted. Boston is 0-7 in their last 7 games as an underdog and the Astros are 5-0 against a left handed starter.
3 Unit Play. Take #917 Chicago White Sox +125 over Cleveland Indians (7:10 PM, Thursday, July 23)
The Chicago White Sox will look to start off their four game set against the Indians with a win when the two teams meet tonight at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Jeff Samardzija, who like David Price, may be making his last start for the team, will get the start tonight for Chicago. He's been good for the Sox this season, posting a 6-5 record with a 4.08 ERA and he's gone at least seven innings in each of his last eight starts. Samardzija will be opposed by Trevor Bauer, who gets the call tonight for the Indians. Bauer is 8-6 with a 4.03 ERA for Cleveland and he's had some success against the White Sox in his career, going 2-0 in five starts, with both wins coming this season. Despite their position in the basement of the AL Central, the White Sox have actually been pretty good in the spot they are in here tonight. They have gone 5-1 in their last six road games when facing a team with a losing record at home and the are 4-1 in their last five road games where they were listed as the underdog. The Indians, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here on Thursday. They are just 1-4 in their last five games as a favorite and they have gone just 2-6 in their last eight when Bauer starts Game 1 of a series. Throw in the fact that the Indians are just 11-24 after scoring 5 or more runs in their last game and we'll take the White Sox as the underdog in a game that our numbers had a bit closer than the odds makers.
7 Unit Play. Take #920 Houston Astros -130 over Boston Red Sox (8:10 PM, Thursday, July 23)
The Houston Astros will look to complete a three game sweep of the Boston Red Sox when the two teams meet tonight at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Lance McCullers, who has been good this season since getting the call from AA, will get the start tonight for the Astros. He has posted a 4-3 record with an excellent 2.52 ERA in his 11 starts here in 2015 and he will be looking for a bit of revenge after he struggled against Boston on July 5, allowing seven hits and three walks in just five innings in a no-decision. McCullers will be opposed by Wade Miley, who has been up and down all season for Boston. He has posted an 8-8 record with a 4.49 ERA in 19 starts this season and he's had some success against Houston in his career, going 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three starts. The Astros, who trail the Angels in the AL West by two games, have been very good in the spot they are in here tonight. They have posted a 23-9 record at home when facing a team with a losing record and they are a perfect 5-0 in their last five games when facing a left handed starter. They have also won six of their last eight when listed as a favorite of -110 to -150 and they have gone an excellent 20-7 in their last 27 home games when they are listed as a favorite at any price. The Red Sox, on the other hand, have really struggled all season long and tonight looks to be no different. They are just 5-17 in their last 22 games after losing the first two games of a series and they have lost their last seven games in a row when facing a team with a winning record. Throw in the fact that the Sox are also 0-7 in their last seven games where they were listed as the underdog and we'll lay the price with the Astros at home tonight to get the win and give us our 5th 7 Unit Winner in a Row!!
4 Unit Play. Take #907/908 Miami Marlins vs. San Diego Padres Over 6.5 -115 (10:10 PM, Thursday, July 23)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet tonight when the Miami Marlins travel to Petco Park in San Diego to take on the Padres. Tom Koehler (7-6, 3.38 ERA, 1.21 WHIP) will get the start for the Marlins and he will be opposed by Tyson Ross (6-7, 3.38 ERA, 1.39 WHIP), who gets the call for the Padres. The Marlins have posted an 8-2 record to the over in their last ten games with a total set at 6.5 or lower and they have gone 5-2 to the over in their last seven games where they were listed as an underdog of +110 to +150. The Padres, who many would think of as an under team because of the park they play in have actually been trending to the over in the past few weeks. They have posted a 18-6-2 record to the over in their last 26 games where they were listed as the favorite and they are 14-6-2 to the over in their last 22 home games. Throw in the fact that the Padres have gone 8-3-1 to the over with Ross on the hill in games where he was listed as the favorite and we'll play the over 6.5 tonight as we expect both teams to come of the gate swinging tonight in San Diego.
3 Unit Play. Take #905/906 Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Over 8.5 (9:40 PM, Thursday, July 23)
4-Unit Play. Take #920 Houston (-140) over Boston (8:10 p.m., Thursday, July 23)
With the way the Angels are playing Houston can't afford to lose any games and I think they continue their current 3 game win streak by sweeping the Red Sox tonight. Houston has out homered Boston 4-0 in this series so far and with the way Lance McCullers has pitched at home they may not need more than a couple of runs. McCullers is 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA at home this year, allowing 4 runs over 30 innings through 5 starts. He has held opponents to a .152 batting average at home and when he faced the Red Sox at Fenway he gave up 1 run over 5 innings allowing 7 hits and yielding 3 walks. Boston has been struggling losing 7 straight with just one home run over that span and they send Wade Miley to the bump. Wiley has been up and down all season and is 4-5 with a 4.32 ERA on the road this season. The Red Sox are 0-6 in their last 6 games as a road underdog while the Astros are 5-0 in their last 5 home games versus a left handed starter. I think the Astros will be able to take Miley deep a couple times and add to the 132 home runs they already have hit this year to get the win.
