ML 930 HOU (+110) Pinnacle vs 929 LOS triple-dime bet
Analysis: There are better numbers - and I've waited as long as I can. Houston's lineup is out and pretty much wha åt I expected. Valbuena in was the big thing. Anyhow, yes, I am fading Grienke and the Dodgers after being no hit. It's not like they have been hitting coming in here - as they had exactly two hits against the A's the game before. They haven't hit since they're last East Coast trip, actually. No denying Grienke is a stud, but the last time he was this cheap was on the road against the Mets - and the Dodgers lost. This game is all Grienke's to win or lose for the Dodgers, because if he falters the Los Angeles bullpen is TERRIBLE - sporting a season-long 5.17 ERA on the road and slightly worse than that over the last week. Houston's sticks have seen Grienke, and now that LA is in the AL park - Grienke doesn't bat, and in this case that's a bad thing because he's probably a better hitter than Alex Guerrero, who IS the DH tonight. Kazmire has been hit a little, but by the red hot Rays (at the time) who have murdered left handed pitchers all season. He gave up four runs in Texas but only one of them was earned. Of the nine hits the Dodgers have (yes, very limited sample) against Kazmir, Carl Crawford has five of them and he's not in the lineup tonight. The Dodgers lost four in a row in early August, so losing four in a row here is not far fetched at all, and I have always questioned their heart and Mattingly. The Dodgers are 25-34 on the road, while the Astros are 43-21 at home. The Astros bullpen didn't throw a pitch last night - and I don't really care if the Dodgers' did or did not (actually, Garcia and Hatcher pitched). The Dodgers are a .500 team against left handed pitchers - the Astros are 12-3 against the NL West. Grienke's stats at Minute Maid aren't overly impressive (they don't suck - they're just human) and Bill Welke (home plate umpire) isn't someone that Grienke has done overly well with. Again, not horrid, but human - and he (Welke) has been favorable to home teams. Astros either get to Zach or win it late.
