7-unit play. #961. take Arizona -108 over Colorado (wednesday @ 8:40pm est)
have you enjoyed baseball this year? sure you have. we’ve posted the best baseball season in america far and away going 78-47 (62%) for +13,323 (and that’s not including the 7-unit selection on the nationals under 92.5 wins still pending).
we roll with arizona here on the road against colorado. bear in mind that colorado has lost back to back games coming into this contest against arizona so they will have the motivation to do well. having said that, we like the metrics here with ‘zona and the value. this is a team that is 65-68 on the season and just 3 games back from being .500 which says a lot about this team as they have worked hard to be at this level. sure, they will not be going to the playoffs but the fact that this team continues to remain competitive is a step in the right direction. they start anderson today who has given up just 2 earned runs over his last 12.2 innings. and its not like he has not seen colorado before as he has faced them 3 times this year already. note that in his first start against colorado he gave up 5 earned runs in 5.1 innings, in his next start, he gave up 8 runs in 4.2 innings against them and then he put it together and gave up 3 earned runs in 6 innings against them. note that anderson remembers his last start in coors as one of the worst of the season so he undoubtedly will look to avoid that this time around. remember, he has put together back to back quality starts and now looks to have 3 straight quality starts and against a team and a location that he got drilled last time out. look for him to have a quality effort today. note that gray has given up 10 earned runs in his last 6 innings. granted, his first 3 starts were very good against seattle, new york mets and san diego. and, his start against the mets can’t be too difinitive against him because it was essentially back to back and the mets were used to his pitches. but it is discomforting he gave up 7 hits in 4 innings against the pirates in the following start in what should have been a bounce-back effort. though arizona is the public favorite here, it’s ok. we like anderson and his goal to bounce-back in colorado versus his disappointment last time around there, we like the dbacks to continue to play well and likely get to gray early and note that the dbacks are 6-1 in their last 7 road games and the rockies are 3-11 against nl west opponents as well.Comment

Texas (979) vs. San Diego(980) - September 2, 2015 - 10:10 PM
Pick: Your pick will be graded at 5dimes @ Under 6.5 105
Expert:Ben Burns
Evaluation:Sep 2 - 10:10 PM
Star Rating:10.0
Reason For Pick:
I am playing on the UNDER. I successfully took the UNDER last night in the Giants-Dodgers game in my most recent 10* Blue Chip total play, which cashed by a landslide in a 2-1 Dodgers win. Today I am taking the UNDER in this Interleague matchup where I think oddsmakers have set the total too high for two pitchers in stellar form.
The Rangers' Cole Hamels and the Padres' Ian Kennedy combine for an ERA of fewer than 4.00 runs over their last three starts each, so don't be concerned that today's total opened at a low number by baseball standards. I think both of these guys will stay true to recent form and the UNDER will cash in.
The UNDER is 4-1-1 in Texas' last six games overall and Hamels' last three games have all fallen below the total during a stretch where he's tossed 20 strikeouts while giving up no home runs over 21 innings. Hamels also loves shutting down the Padres and the Phillies won his last eight starts against San Diego while he was in Philadelphia during games in which the under went 6-2.
Kennedy is in solid form also for San Diego with four straight quality starts and in this pitcher friendly ball park, I think we'll see this one go low again today. 10* Blue ChipComment
