I have loved this matchup since the day that Michigan hired Harbaugh. I didn't care who they were playing I just knew that the line would be off due to the return of the "Michigan Man." Utah is an outstanding football team, and they are absolutely 10+ points better than Michigan. This Wolverines team may be good down the road, and I stress may, but they aren't good enough yet to cover this line. The game may be close for a bit, but Utah is just too good, and Salt Lake City is too difficult a place to play for Michigan to stay within this number for four quarters. This Utah team has 20 players that are projected to start tonight that started at least a handful of games last year. That is some savy veteran leadership coming back to play in front of fan base that should be rowdy. Utah also holds a huge advantage in the special teams department, which can play a big role in these early season matchups. Michigan just doesn't have the chops to win this huge road game. The Wolverines are 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 0-8 ATS in their last eight versus the Pac12. Utah meanwhile is 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the Big10 and 37-17-2 ATS in their last 56 non-conference games. Lay the points and take the home team.

this is a very underrated team and a good public fade coming into this game as most want to take the sec team in vanderbilt. though vanderbilt is getting better and over time they will return back to bowl contention, it won’t start this early in the season if at all this season. this team is an underdog for a reason on their home sec turf to western kentucky because this game means more to wky. note that this team closed last season winning their last 5 straight contests, 5-1 ats in their last 6 thursday games and 5-1 ats in their last 6 contests against the sec as well.
the hilltoppers are flat out incredible on offense and you will see that showcased tonight. their starting quarterback is back on a 6th year medical hardship and the amount of talent this team has on offense is fantastic. plus, with petrino leaving and their offensive coordinator taking over, they did not miss a beat and in fact got even better on offensive efficiency. this team returns 7 starters on a weak defense last year but will undoubtdly be better with another year under the system and their top 4 tacklers are back to boot. with vandy being a running team, look for a lot of grinding here and vandy to score their fair share of points, but at the end of the day, western kentucky’s offense will be on of the best in the country and that will make the difference here.
we have western kentucky winning this evening on what could be a surprise to most people and the beginning of their coming out party. long story short, western kentucky’s solid performance to close out last year, their coaching staff being on the rise, this game meaning more to the conference usa team than the sec team, decent public fade and one of the best offenses in the country, let’s roll with the hilltoppers this evening.

The Pokes are one of the most improved teams in the country this season and should have no problem taking down this bad mid-major. The Cowboys return a ton of talent on both sides of the football, and the team finished well down the stretch, winning their final two games despite being an underdog. QB Mason Rudolph is the real deal, and things really stabilized once got under center. It is not too often that a head coach bolts for an assistant coaching position, but that is what happened with Dan Enos, putting the Chippewas in disarray. Central Michigan is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games as a home underdog. Lot of points to be giving on the road, but the talent disparity is too much for the home team to keep this game under 30 points.
