7 Unit Play. Take #286 Philadelphia -5 over Dallas (4:00p.m., Sunday September 20)

The Cowboys have won and covered 3-straight games in Philadelphia but late Sunday afternoon I see this trend ending and Philly getting back to winning. The Eagles started off so slow Monday night on the road in Atlanta but Sunday I don't see that happening and I see the Eagles offense flowing and pushing the ball up the field at ease against the Dallas D. Cowboys will be without Dez Bryant and the Boys have to face DeMarco Murray for the first time and I see Murray having a big game and again I see the Eagles playing much better at home then they did Monday night in Atlanta. Eagles win this game by a touchdown or more and the Cowboys will look confused trying to slow down the Eagles offense.


3 Unit Play. Take #276 Cincinnati -3 over San Diego (1:00p.m., Sunday September 20)


The Bengals dominated the Raiders last weekend on the road and now Cincy gets this game at home and this game is an early game so the East Coast time could affect San Diego. The Bengals are 13-3-1 ATS & 14-2-1 SU in their past 17 home games and the Bengals will continue to get W's Sunday afternoon at home. Great QB battle in this game and I see Andy Dalton edging out P. Rivers and Sunday look for the Bengals to rush the ball against the Chargers defense. Bengals win this game in the second half and I see Cincy winning by 6 points or more at home against San Diego.

7-Unit Play. Take #276 Cincinnati (-3) over San Diego (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20)


Cincinnati as a small favorite at home...Yup, i'll take it. The Bengals have become one of the best home teams in football over the past few years, and no one really knows about it. They just quietly continue to beat teams at home regardless of how good the opponent is. Over the past two seasons the Bengals are 13-2-1 S.U. at home. The Bengals are also 7-0 ATS in their last seven home games versus a team with a winning road record, and 15-5-1 ATS in their last 20 home games overall. San Diego needed everything they had to come back and beat Detroit last weekend as they started extremely slowly. If Uncle Phil and company start out slowly in Cincy they won't be coming back. The Benglas know how to control the clock as they did just that in a trouncing of the Oakland Raiders last weekend, keeping the ball for 33 minutes and nearly doubling the Raiders offensive output. This game has a little bit of "extra" for the Bengals as well. The Chargers came in to Cincinnait a few years ago and knocked them out of the playoffs. There are still many players from that team in Cincy and they want revenge for that loss. Andy Dalton was terrible in that game as he turned the ball over way too much. He won't have to do nearly as much on Sunday as the running game for Cincy is considerably better and takes much of the burden off Dalton. Look for Cincy to win this game by a touchdown or more.



3-Unit Play. Take #269 New England (-1) over Buffalo (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20)


This is going to be a fun game to watch as the upstart Bills have their fan base in a tizzy. The only thing is, the Patriots are just a bit better, regardless of the venue. The Bills just aren't ready to win this type of game. If it was later in the season and they caught New England at a difficult part of their schedule, maybe, but not when the Pats have had all this time to prepare. New England hasn't played since the first Thursday of the season and the drama of the offseason shouldn't surround this game like it did their first game, and oh yeah, they won that one. Tom Brady and Grok will have their hands full with this Bills defense, but in the end they will find the gaps and win this game by a touchdown. Gronk and Julian Edleman are matchup nightmares and they will be again this weekend. The Bills will absolutely be a game opponent as they want this game badly, but they just won't have enough to get the job done. New England is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games versus a team with a winning record. New England is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games in Buffalo and 21-10-1 ATS in the last 32 meetings between the two teams.

5-Unit NFL Shocker of the Week


This pick falls into one of my top NFL systems and Oakland should be getting a lot more respect here at home Sunday. This is the most lopsided bet game of the week in the NFL with over 80% of bettors laying points with the Ravens on the road. However this is not the same pushover Raiders team as years before and the home team is a perfect 5-0 ATS in the last 5 games played between these two teams. The Ravens are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games when playing a team that has a losing record at home and the Raiders are 4-1 in their last 5 games after failing to cover the spread in their previous game. David Carr will be fine to go Sunday and if he gets knocked out of the game, I'm confident in McGloin as the backup QB after he threw for 142 yards and 2 TD's after coming in for Carr against the Bengals. If Oakland can improve their 25% 3rd down conversion rate they win this game outright Sunday and I'm fairly confident they can do this against a banged up Ravens defense who just lost Suggs for the season. Play Oakland +6.5 with confidence Sunday and I'm sure if you wait until closer to game time you might get +7 although we shouldn't need it here.
