3-Unit Play. Take #502 Chicago (-4.5) over Cleveland (8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27) The Cavs are just too banged up to keep this game close. Many people will say that this game means something to Cleveland. They know that the Cavs are going to rest people, but they want to make a statement on opening night... No they don't. LeBron James and company know that this is just one early season game of a grueling 82 game schedule. They are not concerned at all going 0-1 to start the year. The Bulls meanwhile, want to showcase their new offensive system. They want to prove that all along they have had the ability to put up points and play a fun, fast-paced, offensive style that good ole Tommy wouldn't let them play. Rose and Butler will take advantage of a Cleveland team that is without Iman Shumpert and Kyrie Irving on both ends of the floor. Butler will also be able to hassle a banged-up LeBron James. Look for Chicago to get up early and take advantage of their loud home crowd, and hold on as Cleveland mounts a comeback. The Bulls do enough to win this game by 7-8 points. Take the home favorite in this one as the Bulls start out 1-0. Best of Luck - Strike Point Sports
7-Unit Play. #15. Take LA Kings -110 over Winnipeg (Tuesday @ 8:05pm est)
There is a lot more going on in this game than meets the eye. LA has lost to this team twice now and this likely is not overlooked by a LA team who will be focused on avoiding losing 3 straight to this team. The last 2 times these two teams have hooked up, LA has lost 5-2 and 5-4 and for a team that has won 5 straight, this is a decent enough motivation and focus coming into this contest. LA has won as small favorites as they are today. And ironically the public is on Winnipeg in this contest and LA would be a public fade here. LA has beat the likes of Edmonton, Carolina, San Jose, Colorado and Minnesota – all 5 games in which they were favored in like today.
We like the fact that Winnipeg comes off a 5-4 win over Minnesota in an exciting fashion as they likely have a let down offensively here against a stout LA defense that has given up just 5 goals in their last 5 games to their credit. This is also a team that has given up 12 goals in its last 3 games and they are not in the sharpest form coming into this contest either. With LA having doublerevenge, playing great defense, Winnipeg in a bit of a let down and also struggling on defense a big giving up an average of 4 goals per game and this being a public fade, we like LA to win this contest 4-2 this evening.
Other thoughts: Arizona continues to roll as a heavy underdog and heavy public underdog scoring goals at ease, NJ has won 4 in a row, Columbus off its first win, Dallas off a 2-6 loss so they likely will be looking to bounce-back big, Montreal could pick up their first loss today as Vancouver played poorly against a team they were favored against in their last game, so lean on Vancouver
