6-Unit Play. Take #258 New Orleans (-3) over New York Giants (1 p.m., Nov. 1)
The Saints offense is starting to look good and the running game has a lot to do with it. The Giants, who were doing a great job at stopping the run, meanwhile look like a sive on the defensive side of the football. The Giants can't seem to stop the run anymore and the play action of the Saints is going to give the GMen fits all day long. New York just doesn't play well in the Superdome as they are outmatched in the passing game. They always seem to have a banged up secondary when they play the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints are starting to get their moxy and with the NFC being as mediocre as they are, New Orelans has a great chance to make the playoffs if they keep up their winning ways. The favorite and the home team have been the play in this series as the favorite is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings and the home squad sports an identical 8-1 ATS mark through the last nine matchpus. The Giants seem to be lacking on the offensive side of the football, not something people thought would happen this year. Odell Beckem Jr. just isn't getting enough targets and the Giants just keep giving the ball to Andre Williams and Rashad Jennings. I think the Giants get their offensive struggles taken care of, but I just don't see it happeneing this weekend. After Sunday you will be looking at two 4-4 teams.

4-Unit Play. Take #259 San Francisco (+8.5) over St. Louis (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1)
This is just too many points. I know that San Francisco hasn't looked good at all, and St. Louis is starting to look good...running the football. For the Rams, this line is just wrong. St. Louis has won two of their three games by two and three points respectively. Yes, they shut down the Browns last weekend, but they aren't all of a sudden a team that is just going to blow out a division rival, regardless of how bad SF has been. The 49ers have had a tough, tough schedule thus far this season. They have played some of the best NFL offenses, which has played a significant part on why their point differential is what it is. Don't buy in to the numbers for this game. The 49ers know what style of football that the Rams play and they have had a week to prepare for the St. Louis running game as they were on a bye last weekend. San Francisco is 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games on turf, while the Rams are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a S.U. win. This is just too many points, plain and simple.

3-Unit Play. Take #251 Detroit (+5.5) over Kansas City (9:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 1)

The Chiefs without Jamal Charles are not nearly a touchdown better than the Lions. With this game being played on a neutral field the Lions have enough on the offensive side of the football to keep it to a FG game. The Lions new offensive game plan shouldn't be too drastically different, but it will be improved. Jim Bob Cooter has spent a lot of time with Matthew Stafford over the past two seasons. "He knows what he likes and dislikes." Regardless of how "high school" that sounds, it is important when dealing with an offensive coordinator and QB relationship. Cooter knows that Stafford is comfortable doing and he will formulate his offensive scheme's based on that. Look for the Lions to take advantage of Calvin Johnson's mismatches and Golden Tate's quickness. I wouldn't be surpised at all to see even more dump off's to the running backs. This will hold the Chiefs pass rushers in tact as they have to be aware of a quick moving Lions offense. Take the underdgo here as this will come down to a field goal.
