Today we are on San Antonio -4 over Washington. Washington has an outstanding team of guards with Beal and Wall. Beal is averaging 25 ppg, and becomes a free agent at the end of the year, so he has plenty to play for. Wall has been outstanding averaging 22 ppg, but his 5 turnovers per game have to be a concern. While the offense has been solid, Washington is giving up lots of points on defense at 106 ppg.
The Spurs are loaded for another run at the title with Duncan, Ginobelli and Parker as the mainstays. However K Leonard has risen as a new star, and last year was the defensive player of the year in the NBA. The Spurs are on a 3 game win streak, where they are giving up just 82 ppg. LaMarcus Aldridge is still learning the system, but with Duncan and Leonard, produces a huge front line. Then the signing of David West gives them another quality player they can use to limit minutes for the others. We like the Spurs to use that defense to pick up another win today.
