Missouri has seen its season devolve into a mess thanks to the antics of former starting quarterback Maty Mauk. Mauk has gotten himself thrown off the team and with him went any hope of a third straight SEC East title for the Tigers. Now they are stuck with a freshman trying to learn on the fly and that's just not going to cut it against this highly mediocre Mississippi State team. The Bulldogs have had about as easy of a walk as you could have over the last few weeks, taking on weak sisters like Troy, Louisiana Tech and then Kentucky before waltzing into their bye week. Missouri was blown out at home by Florida and I think that Miss State does some similar things, schematically, and can cause the Tigers the same types of problems. The Tigers lost at Vanderbilt their last time out. They also have ugly showings at Georgia (9-6 loss) and Kentucky (21-13 loss) and even their wins (9-6 over Connecticut, 27-20 over Arkansas State) are completely unimipressive. Missouri has scored 12 points - TOTAL - in its last three games. That is pathetic, especially in today's college game. Miss State is not a good team. They've just caught a lot of breaks with the schedule and they caught another one here. They should dominate this game and this one should be over by the end of the third quarter.

I'm going with the Bulls in this one. Buffalo has won two straight games and they are looking for three in a row in this one. Kent State is going with a freshman quarterback for the third straight game. They are starting George Bollas and he has not been impressive in any of his previous starts. Kent State's offense is one of the worst in the country. And I think that they are going to struggle again in this one against a tough Bulls defense. This is the second game in a row that Buffalo is facing a freshman quarterback and they shut down Miami's Bill Bahl. The road team has been the play in this series. The visitor has won five straight and seven of eight going all the way back to 2004. Kent State does not have a strong home field advantage and I do not think that it will be a factor here. The Golden Flashes are just 4-12 ATS in their last 16 home games. Buffalo still has a chance at going to a bowl game if they can win three of their last four. They will be focused for this one. The Bulls are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games against a team that is below .500 and the Bulls are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games going back to last year.
