J.R STEVENS SMOOTH44
NBA (10-star or 10-unit)
(714) Memphis +7.5
(*Play of the Day*)
*26-0 ATS trend backing certain teams seeking short-turnaround revenge for a blowout loss.
NBA (5-star or 5-unit)
(704) Philadelphia +10
(704) Philadelphia ML +450
(707) Indiana +4
(707) Indiana ML +150
(714) Memphis ML +260
(715) Brooklyn +13
(715) Brooklyn ML +900
(720) Sacramento ML -110
*Note: Philadelphia and Brooklyn are not “dollar and a dream plays”. We have a nice trend in play backing certain teams coming off at least 7 consecutive SU losses and these teams win SU at a high rate. Helping our cause tonight is both teams are catching their opponents in tough spots too.
Indiana opened the season with three straight losses, but the Pacers have gone 4-1 SU since then. Their lone loss in their last five games came by just 4 points at Cleveland. The Pacers are playing with confidence and momentum right now, and they already beat Boston earlier this season. Indiana won 100-98 at home, and the Celtics were a much healthier team for that game. Boston may be without two backcourt starters, so their bench and depth would be at a disadvantage in this game. The Pacers are playing at a much quicker pace this season, and their offense has come together recently; they’ve scored 97 points or more in three of their last four games.
Boston played last night in Milwaukee and the Celtics won 99-83 despite woeful shooting. The Celtics shot just 44.2% (38-86) from the field and 23.3% (7-30) from three-point land yet they won by 16 points. That was a terrible performance by Boston, especially since they went into that game off 3 full days of rest. Now they must wheel right back and play a back-to-back set against a better team that had last night off. Boston’s Avery Bradley injured his leg last night; he will be a game-time decision along with Marcus Smart who has missed the last three games with a toe injury. Indiana is simply the better team, so we’ll take the Pacers plus the points in this game on Wednesday night.
ALAN HARRIS 4 Unit Play. Take #710 Dallas Mavericks +7 over Los Angeles Clippers (8:05 PM, Wednesday, November 11, ESPN)
The Dallas Mavericks will look to bounce back from a big loss at the hands of the New Orleans Pelicans last night when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Wednesday night. The Clippers have posted a 1-4 ATS record in their last five games where they faced a team from the Western Conference and they have covered in just one of their last six games where they were playing with one day of rest. Throw in the fact that the Mavericks will be out for a bit of revenge after losing to the Clippers 104-88 back on 10/29 and that they should have some extra motivation playing at home after the DeAndre Jordan saga in the offseason and we’ll take the points with them here tonight as we think they do anything they can to keep this one close tonight in Dallas, even if it means sending Jordan to the free throw line 40 or so times. 4 Unit Play. Take #712 Atlanta Hawks -12 over New Orleans Pelicans (8:05 PM, Wednesday, November 11)
We also have a play on the under is this game but we think the Hawks are in a good spot to bounce back after a bad loss to the Timberwolves in their last game. Atlanta has gone 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall and they have been lights out after a double digit loss at home going 10-1 ATS when they were in that situation. The Pelicans have also struggled in the spot we find them in here tonight as they have gone 2-10 ATS in their last 12 road games and they have failed to cover in their last six games where they were playing in the second game of a back to back. Throw in the fact that the Pelicans have gone just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous contest and we’ll lay the big number with an Atlanta team that we think is primed for a blowout, especially with New Orleans coming in off a home win on Tuesday night at home over the Mavericks. 3 Unit Play. Take #711/712 New Orleans Pelicans vs. Atlanta Hawks – Under 210 (8:05 PM, Wednesday, November 11)
Two teams that have been trending to the under will meet tonight when the New Orleans Pelicans travel to take on the Hawks at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. The Pelicans have posted a 5-0-1 record to the under in their last six road games and they have gone a perfect 5-0 to the under in their last five games where they were playing the second game of a back to back. The Hawks have been an under team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have posted a 5-1 record to the under in their last six games played on a Wednesday night and they are a perfect 4-0 to the under in their last four games where they faced a team with a losing record. Throw in the fact that these two teams have gone 12-4 to the under in their last 16 head to head meetings in Atlanta and that’s where we’ll have our play tonight in a game that should be a bit lower scoring that the number would indicate since the Pelicans played last night and they may be without superstar big man Anthony Davis after he missed the second half of their Tuesday night win over the Mavericks. 7 Unit Play. Take #718 Denver Nuggets -3 over Milwaukee Bucks (9:05 PM, Wednesday. November 11)
The Denver Nuggets will look for back to back wins after their win over the Blazers on Monday when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Pepsi Center in Denver. The Nuggets have posted a 6-1-1 ATS record in their last eight games where they faced a team from the Central Division and they have gone an excellent 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games where they were playing with one day of rest. The Bucks, on the other hand, have really struggled in the spot they are in here on Wednesday night as they have gone just 1-4 ATS in their last five games where they faced a team from the Northwest Division and they have failed to cover in eleven of their last thirteen games versus a team from the Western Conference. Throw in the fact that the Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last five head to head meetings with the Bucks in Denver and 21-8-1 in their last 30 games versus Milwaukee overall and we’ll lay the points with them here tonight in a game that we have them pulling away late as the Bucks will be tired in the altitude after playing and losing last night at home to Boston. 3 Unit Play. Take #720 Sacramento Kings -1 over Detroit Pistons (10:05 PM, Wednesday, November 11)
The Sacramento Kings will look to break their six game losing streak when they take on the Detroit Pistons tonight at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. Honestly, all the numbers point to the Pistons in this one but we’re going with our get here in predicting that the Kings pull this one out. They have gone 5-2 ATS in their last seven games where they faced a team with a winning record while the Pistons have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here; going just 9-19 ATS in their last 28 road games where they faced a team with a losing record at home. Throw in the fact that the Kings are in a good scheduling spot, catching the Pistons playing their fourth road games in the last six nights and we’ll lay the bucket tonight with Sacramento as we think Demarcus Cousins and the Kings will be up for the challenge this evening. 4 Unit Play. Take #721/722 San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trailblazers – Over 202.5 (10:35 PM, Wednesday, November 11, ESPN)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet tonight when the San Antonio Spurs travel to take on the Trailblazers at the Moda Center in Portland. The Spurs have posted a 4-0-1 record to the over in their last five games played on a Wednesday night and they have gone an excellent 16-5 to the over in their last 21 games where they faced a team from the Northwest Division. The Blazers have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone 5-1 to the over in their last six games where they faced a team with a winning record on the road and they have gone a perfect 5-0 to the over in their last five games overall. Throw in the fact that these two teams have posted a 5-1 record to the over in their last six head to head meetings in Portland and that’s where we’ll have our play tonight in a game between two teams that like to push the pace, leading to a ton of open looks on the offensive side of the court.
