With a set of wins today, we'll already be 27% of the way there and we are only in Mid November! This is great news for all our combined NBA/CBB Package holders. We'll continue to work hard everyday to make this happen with quality research and picks win or lose. I like Coach Kevin McHale but after his recent firing, the Rockets will take the court here against Portland in their first game without their coach at the helm in 5 seasons. This is a team that went relatively far in the playoffs only to fall short and with a rocky start to the season at 4-7 including 2-5 at home, it seems the GM Morey and brass were a bit nervous and have already fired him. They turn the reigns over to Bernie Bickerstaff who has plenty of coaching experience to right the ship and regardless if he rights the ship or not - what is important to be said that it is Daryl Morey's fault as much as it is McHale's. This is a coach that lost his daughter recently and still continued to coach this team and that is where the emotional scene with Kevin Garnett and McHale surfaced on youtube in the first game back from his daughter's death. McHale gave his team its all and of course Morey will take the side road as if he has nothing to do with bringing Lawson to a team and messing up the real identity of this team which is James Harden, Dwight on the inside and the role players which step up. Regardless, for this game, we like Houston here as we feel good they will respond well with McHale's firing as the gauntlet has been set that anyone can be fired or traded at this point. We like Houston to play with a renewed sense of focus, Bernie to change a few things around, there are a few guys that did not like McHale's laid back style and likely will step up here as well, plus, this is a decent public fade and with Houston coming off one of its worst losses of the season to Boston by double-digits, we like Houston to step up here and post a double-digit win. Sure, Portland is a decent team, but this is the same team that has lost to Charlotte by 12 on the road and Detroit by 17 points at home.

The Bulls opponents have shot just 40.8% against them this season which is #2 in the NBA and I look for a strong defensive game from them tonight. The Bulls are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 trips to Phoenix and the road team is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 games played between these two teams. Play Chicago ATS with extreme confidence

*3 Star NCAA BB Hidden GEM* The Akron Zips are going to be tough to beat in the MAC this year. Akron returns nearly their whole team from last year. They have two terrific point guards in Robotham and Jackson. That's important against a team like Arkansas that uses full court pressure so often. Arkansas lost both of their star big men from last year's team. Bobby Portis and Michael Qualls are going to be tough to replace, and I expect Pat Forsythe and the Akron Zips frontcourt to have a decided advantage in this game. Forsythe is a good rebounder and a terrific shot blocker.
Neither team has been tested yet, but I think Akron has shown in the past they can win on the road. Akron may very well be the best team in the MAC, and that's a conference that is usually underrated in college basketball. Arkansas is way down from a year ago. Take Akron
