Tennessee has played decent, competitive the past two weeks. They defeated the Saints and then played ok football for 3 quarters against Carolina last week. On the other side, the Jags won a game against the Eagles that turns out should have been a loss, admitted yesterday by the NFL. Emotionally, you have one team playing with an array of confidence vs a team knowing that the only way they can win is with the refs giving it to them. Great teams will run with the fact that everything is going right for themselves. Bad teams continue to doubt. That gift win did not pump them up. Interim Tennessee Coach Mike Mularkey is going up against the team that fired him. That should not be a storyline by returning to Jacksonville unless his team really wants him to move forward as their coach. Rookie running back David Cobb is off the injured list and his rushing should accompany Marcus Mariota's passing. They must established the run in this game. Jacksonville has a slew of injuries of which they can not afford. Jags RB, T J Yeldon, will be limited if he even is able to play. For Jacksonville to be favored in this game after Tennessee proved they can win on the road with that Saints victory is absurd. The Titans are the better team all around. This is by far my favorite play of the weekend and I think that Tennessee is going to jump all over the Jaguars here. This is why it is important to watch and then re-watch games. There is absolutely no way that the Jaguars should've beaten Baltimore last week. Besides that miracle finish - a 15-yard facemask on the Hail Mary final play set up the winning field goal - the Jaguars got breaks left and right in that one. They had a +3 turnover differential, with two Baltimore turnovers in their own side of the field setting up two Jaguars scores. And despite all that they were still going to lose that game and they were outgained by 150 yards. Basically, Baltimore should've put up around 30 points and that one not only should've gone 'over' but it should've been a blowout for the Ravens. The Jaguars will not be so lucky this week. Tennessee played tight with an outstanding Carolina team for three quarters and then the Panthers pulled away. The Titans left some points on the board, however, and I think that their offense is due for a major breakout. The Titans have played some tough defenses with Marcus Mariota and they were a mess with loser Zach Mettenberger at the helm when he was out. Add it all up and the Titans have one good offensive outing in the last two months. They have more talent than that and they have moved the ball better than that. They are going to get over 20 points tonight. The Jaguars let the Ravens do whatever they wanted, and that was the Ravens JV team because of all of the injuries. Tennessee is bringing the No. 6 defense in football into this game (vs. No. 19 for Jacksonville; and the Jaguars are not a Top 20 defense anything but statistically). The Titans have the better defense, they are due for an offensive breakout, and they are catching Jacksonville off a fluke, lucky, ridiculous win. The public is all over the Jaguars in this one but I think they are setting themselves up to take a hit. Tennessee is the better team in this one. I think we see a ton of scoring and I like the Titans to win this one 30-28.
