Interesting match up here in Italian Cup play. Sassuolo comes off a strong game at home vs Fiorentina and face a Serie B team, but Cagliari have dominated Serie B this season as they look to return to Serie A next season and other than a couple blips on the screen have played exceptional on the road. It's been a trend with the Italian Cup competition each year that games in the later rounds are tight and extra time/Penalties are needed to decide a winner, this one fits that scenerio as we'll have a full strenght visitor taking on a home side that will have some changes to it's line up from the one that faced Fiorentina. We haven't seen this stat is years. Green Bay has lost 4 of their last 5 games and Detroit has won 3 straight. The Bears derailed the Packers a week ago with a stymied defense holding them to 13 points with a rare home field loss to Chicago. Thanksgiving proved delicious for the Lions as Quarterback Matthew Stafford had five touchdown passes, going 27-of-38 without an interception. This is the second meeting with the Lions winning game one 18-16 in Green Bay. Their seems to be much optimism at ford Field with this massive turnaround after a few were fired from upstairs. Detroit rushed for 217 yards the last two games after averaging 66.9 in the first nine. Matthew Stafford, meanwhile, has thrown seven of his 20 TDs and one of 12 INTs in the last three weeks. He passed for 337 yards and tied a career high with five TD throws against Philadelphia. Look for Calvin Johnson to continue to shine. Johnson, who caught six passes for 81 yards at Green Bay, has 17 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the last three home games against the Packers. The Lions not only have been dominating offensively but
dfensively have allowed averages of 14 points, only 55 yards rushing and just over 271 total yards in their last three games. For the Packers, something is really going on as Randall Cobb, James Jones and Davante Adams are under-performing. RB Eddie Lacy is inconsistent at best and suffered a groin injury in mid-November. He's had a demotion, too many fumbles to add to his troubles. Look for the Lions to capture this game as they are clearly the better team...at this moment.

Memphis hasn't been kind to me and my wallet this NBA season but tonight I see things turning around for Memphis and myself. The Grizzlies are finally playing some good team ball and the Grizzlies have won 8 out of their last 10 games. The Spurs last road game they lost to Chicago 92-89 and the Bulls defense played outstanding in the 4th quarter. The Spurs have struggled to cover games on Thursday night (TNT games) going 0-6 ATS and the Memphis Grizzlies are 6-1 ATS against Western Conference. The home team in this series is also 5-2 ATS and getting plus 3 points I believe is a steal.

I am going with the Celtics in this matchup in Mexico City. The Kings lose a home game here. The Celtics are the better team and I think that they will have a strong showing in this very unique game. The line on this game opened up as a pick but was quickly bet up to Boston as a small favorite. That tells me what I need to know. This Kings team has terrible chemistry and some of the players do not like the coach at all. They do not have what it takes to stay focused in a road game like this. Boston is coming off a nice win over Miami and they have won three of four games overall. The Kings are playing better. But they are still just 3-5 in their last eight games and just 7-12 on the season. This isn't a very good team and I think Boston has the focus to get this win in Mexico tonight. Play Boston.
