JASON SHARPE 4 Unit Play Take #592 ‘under’ 140 – UNLV / Cal-Riverside
(7:00pm est):
UNLV comes into this one with the 29th best ranked defense in points per possession so far this year and have done it playing against the 66th best offenses in CBB. Head coach Dave Rice has always preached defense here at UNLV as they were 8th in the country last season in two point field goal percentage allowed and this year they look to be around that 42-44% mark again defensively. The Rebels added freshman seven footer Stephen Zimmerman to their team this season and on average are the 4th tallest team in all of CBB. They’ve went ‘under’ in 6 of their last 7 games and 4 straight on the road.
Cal-Riverside Taylor Johns didn’t play the first six games this season for the Highlanders. Since he’s returned to action the past two games he’s been the same dominant defensive force he was last year. When John’s was on the floor last season, he allowed the least amount of points per game over any other UCR player. UCR was ranked 59th last season in 2 point field goal percentage defense allowing 44.6% and in Johns first two games back opponents have shot just 39.7% overall on two pointers. UCR has also went ‘under’ in 4 of their last 5 home contests.
Play ‘under’ the total here.
VERNON CROY 7-Unit Play. Take #626 Arkansas -14.5
over Tennessee Tech (Saturday, December 12 at 8:00 PM ET)
Take Arkansas ATS as my 7-Unit CBB Smash for Saturday night. This pick falls into one of my elite CBB systems and we are getting great line value here with a Razorbacks team that I have winning by 25+ points. Arkansas is the superior team here and they have had a lot tougher strength of schedule that Tennessee Tech which explains their stats and record. Arkansas is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against an Ohio Valley opponent and 19-9 ATS in their last 28 home games when playing a team with a losing record on the road. The Golden Eagles are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games against a SEC opponent. There are too many key mismatches in this game for Arkansas not to win by at least 25 points Saturday night, unless they play their bench for the entire second half, which I don’t see happening as they sit 4-4 on the season. Play Arkansas ATS with extreme confidence as we cash #8 in a row in CBB. Make sure you also get on my 8-Unit NFL Game of the Year right now, as I look to remain 100% perfect for 3 straight weeks on the grid-iron.
